Obama isn't going to fix anything. What you will see is what happened to the Clinton administration, short term fixes that result in even greater long term problems. We are already at the point where minimum wage versus welfare is equal, so people would rather be free loaders than work. The aspirations of working hard to possibly become rich will dwindle because their is no incentive when there is equal playing field regardless of effort or ability. Nature works, pure competition is natural, when the government tries to regulate and control, things backfire because people are not all rational beings, government policy is made in a vacuum, where everyone theoretically thinks the same and works hard. Reality is different, if you could win the lottery or go through Medical school and work your butt off, what would you try if the outcomes were the same. Equality and lack of lust in a perfect society sound great, but just like socialism and communism the idea doesn't apply to the real work and fails. What is truly perfect are the imperfections of a natural beauty.

federal reserve = debt
money = debt
debt = federal reserve notes

until the people of america truly understand this evil institution no one will be free, its just totally impossible under the federal reserve system.

You're correct in that both parties have made mistakes. I just get sick and tired of reading that it is President Bush that caused this entire mess. I may not agree with many of his decisions but people just don't understand how the system works and who is really in charge.

Hussein Obama is going to have his hands full trying to fix many of his own parties mistakes.

Regarding CRA – statistics show that 80% of the loans that failed weren't CRA, yes it was screwed up and part of the equation – but it was far from the whole.

As for Congress doing much in 2 years – someone really needs a history class on the average time for Congress to react to something much less pass legislation on something.

Likely no matter who was at the helm the same problem would've occured because it's a symptom of problems with BOTH parties – but considering how slow Congress normally moves and how the Dems cowtowed to any mention of a filibuster the past 2 years blaming them for not fixing it would be like blaming a parapalegic watching a home burn down for not putting out the fire.
