Crack is strange, need to copy Keymaker.exe and Register.bat to the install folder, run Keymaker, click Patch, run Register.bat, copy the name you entered in the Keymaker and the serial number into the window that pops up, then you're all set.
Nothing strange Keymarker is also patch

Just to say all I got at first try was a beep.
BUT have a look at the DEP settings under (for XP):-
MyComputer->System Properties->Advanced->Performance->Data Execution Protection
and if its on make an exception for the HDDLife executable file.
Doesn't work here. Register.bat says wrong name/key

Doesn't work for me either, same problem as #20 although I used #10's instructions…
However, taking a look at the 15 day trial that appears to include all functions, it seems to me the tool isn't doing anything special at all, it's just shouting:
"ALL RIGHT!
The reliability and performance of your hard drive are completely all right. But do not forget to back up your data at least once a week since nobody is protected against bad luck."
That would have been worth the cash, have a nice weekend.

yeah crack aint working…. running Windows Vista …. the patching works but run the Register and enter the name and key it says Wrong Name/Serial …

Running win2003 as workstation and can't get crack to work either.
went into registry and forced it to take key# but still doesn't work.
There is a line in the registry for password which has no value I tried inputing the the hardware id but no luck…
Maybe someone has better idea and can tell how they suceed.

i mean seriously … precious data will get saved to dvd or uses a raid with safety hd… well…
… noone has a hd running at 80 degree. … noone sane.
… and whoever doesnt change his terabyte hd after maybe 3 years … needs hard slapping imo.
Well and finally if u dont drop something hard on your HD, it will rarely just give up. my western hd's didnt fail me in 10 years.

All the SMART tools are worthless sh!t. Get a free one instead …
If you want real info over the health of your drive, get SpinRite, it's the only 3rd party tool left which really does low-level analysis of the drive …
Worked fine for me just place all files in the installation folder of HDDlife. Run keymaker.exe and click patch. Now run Register.bat and paste the info from the keygen.
Yup, doesn't work in Windows 7 (so most likely wont work in vista either). The patched executable crashes as soon as it is launched.
seems that the keygen / patch is returning my machine ID as 0000-0000 , where as when i run the BAT file, my machine id is completly different, this could be why it aint working for some, check teh keygen returns a value for your machine ID (the grey text to the right of where you enter a reg name above the generated key.
#36 , had a feeling this was the way alright, shame as it's a nice product, pretty clear and easy to use, bring on the proper !!
