Big Love S02E01 HDTV XviD-LOL
The season premier of this one show I heard on the news about last year (I think I read about it in the newspaper or something, not sure) . It is broadcast on HBO as a drama about a polygamous Utah family. When your religion is a cult and you have multiple wives you are labeled as a polygamist (pronounced pah-lig-a-mist) . The show was co-created by Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer who also serve as executive producers. Olsen and Scheffer spent two and a half years researching the premise of the show, with the intent of creating a fair portrayal of polygamy in America without being judgmental. These people are portrayed as mormons (south park dum-dum-dum episode) so take that into mind before being judgemental and biased because the show’s producers hate it when you are.

Hell-bent on learning who betrayed the family, Bill gathers evidence against Home Plus employee Wendy, and gives Don an ultimatum to get rid of her. Having nearly succumbed to Wanda’s poisoning, Alby urges Roman to take revenge against Joey and Bill. Continuing to track suspects, Bill makes dinner plans with neighbors Carl and Pam Martin, but Barb wants no part in the evening. Meanwhile, Wanda faces an inquisition at Juniper Creek, and Joey feels the squeeze from Roman, despite Bill’s assurances that Roman will drop his charges in the wake of a state investigation. At home, Sarah meets an older suitor named Scott at an ex-Mormon meeting.

these polygs are a cult in all the worse connotations of the word.
“cult” in modern christian terms usually means a christian religion not based off the catholic reformation. This is the scare word right wing bigots use to explain Mormons.
“cult” dictionary means gathering of people
“cult” In modern speak means messianic nutjobs who live in compounds. many of these polygs group do. actual mormons do not.
saying they are Mormon is like saying scientologists are catholics. they have nothing to do with each other. (unless you mean they are both religions)
ive referred dozens of my friends to this website and now you lump my religion in with these total wackjobs? Abraham, David, Solomon, etc were all polygamist so are all muslims and Jews lumped in with these child marrying messianic loons?
sorry for ranting and raving we all know the internet is all stocked up on that already.
maybe next post you can say that arabs and jews are the same thing (they both live in same place and are religions)
then maybe post ow mexicans and dominicans are the same.
next post could say that canadians and americans are the same.
then you will have a good start on what you americans are best known for being completely ignorant of all other cultures.
To me, and a couple of friends that i’ve talked to, we have come to the conclussion that, this is one of the most authentic show made out there. I Looove Big love, and thanks for S2.
