It comes across as a game show with contestants. The British one is more of a psych experiment with contestants, if anything, looking more for fame than to win or just the experience. Sure, they'd like to win, but the show is more about their interactions as people and which ones the audience enjoys most. I can't stand the way the US version is handled.
