Beyound Loch Ness is a new TV movie from the SciFi channel. It is a scifi/horror . At the very beginning of the show nessie comes out of the water (in full 3D animation that does not look too convincing) and then attacks the researchers and eats one-half of one, and then spits out the bottom portion. And that’s all you need to know to become more enticed. Update: this movie is phoney as hell. Don’t take it too seriously.

James Murphey (Brian Krause) is a rugged cryptozoologist, who thirty years earlier, during a trip to Loch Ness, Scotland, had a fatal encounter with the fabled “Nessie” creature that killed his father, and left James with deep facial scar. Twenty years later, James is hunting for Nessie, when his search leads him to the sleepy town of Pike Island, Ashburn, on Lake Superior. Hiring Josh Riley (Niall Matter) as his guide, James and Josh bond over their mutual scientific interests and deceased fathers, while James tries to convince Josh’s mother, Sheriff Karen Riley (Carrie Genzel), that the 60-foot plesio saur is killing and breeding.

    I like a lot of what sci-fi channel has to offer but this show is crap.

    Just my humble opinion.

    @7 jesus,

    DSRip stands for Digital Satellite Rip, meaning it was capped off DirecTV or a similar service.

    As for the movie, I recorded it, but haven’t watched it yet. I know it will be one of SciFi’s low-budget crapfests, but I’ll still watch it. :)

    Hmm.. so SCI-FI Channel US is broadcast in 16:9 widescreen whereas SCI-FI UK still appears to be in that godawful 14:9 format.
