Subject: Another one bites the dust…

…At the worst company one can work for.

Where to begin…

it’s been my intention to leave for quite some time, so i guess Sandra was right in saying Pauline R was going to be ‘an influential person in my life’ because she led me to do something i’ve been wanting to do for a long time…tell you all how i feel before i leave the worst job i’ve ever had.

it’s one thing to have the sh*tt***t job in the world.. collections? come on, it doesn’t get much worse… but to have horrible management, and an even worse director.. well, those conditions are intolerable.

management who got their positions not because of what they know (because, clearly it’s nothing) but who they know, or in just as many cases, who they’re related to…(here’s something you can try on your break… try to count how many siblings work in our department alone…hint: use a calculator to help)… management who sends off emails with grammatical and spelling errors (i know you may be shocked, but ‘their,’ ‘there’ and ‘they’re’ are actually DIFFERENT words)…management who offers pizza and cake instead of knowledge and useful information… and management, and this is my personal favourite, who cusses at you… ahhhh i can only imagine a life so perfect.

so to those of you new on the phones, don’t bother expecting fair conditions here. if you bring a complaint to Sandra about management, even if it’s because your manager said “you better F***ING be meeting,” her response will be “well, i personally hired them”… and for those of you who have been here a while… sadly, it won’t ever get better.

it’s funny that ACME treats their own EMPLOYEES almost as badly as they treat their customers…almost. in a company where an employee like Peter, who was PRAISED at christmas meetings for his perfect attendance for YEARS, ends up being escorted out of the building on his final day for freaking out… that’s what this place does to you. if that isn’t proof of our working conditions, then nothing is.

so for those of you here as an “in the meantime” job, good luck. you’ll need it. for those masochists in here (watch as management pulls out their dictionaries to figure out what that word means…) that have for some reason CHOSEN to stay on the phones…well, i wish you all even more luck. and i pray that one day you realize you’re worth MUCH MORE than this place can ever offer you (ie, pizza and cake).

Oh, by the way…

I quit.

Jessica

p.s…. i apologize to the managers i have never dealt with, clearly this does not apply to you (well, i’m sure it does, but i didn’t get a chance to prove that theory…).Jane, you should be in a hospital for the mentally challenged. I advise wearing a helmet to work from now on.

p.p.s.. the cake wasn’t even good.

I am posting this as it is the best letter I have ever read and anyone on RLSLOG who is going to quit his job and want to be a rebel, look no further and send the same letter to your boss. Enjoy… I also made a Youtube video about it. Name of company has been removed…

Enjoy!

Being snarky about grammar doesn’t work when your own has mistakes.

  4. Salicious
    March 15th, 2007 | 21:28

Wow she has no say in other people’s grammar when her resignation letter looks like this.

  5. March 15th, 2007 | 21:29

it to much for me to read! but i can understand her mood after 2-3 sentences.

  6. March 15th, 2007 | 22:09

If the company is that bad it shouldn’t be protected, let us know its name!!

  7. March 15th, 2007 | 22:17

    Here is another letter:

The Mother of All Resignation Letters: Actual letter of resignation from an employee at Zantex Computers, U.S.A. to her boss, who apparently
    resigned very soon afterwards!

    Dear Mr. Baker:

As a graduate of an institution of higher education, I have a few very basic expectations. Chief among these is that my direct superiors have an intellect that ranges above the common ground squirrel. After your consistent and annoying harassment of my co-workers and me during the commission of our duties, I can only surmise that you are one of the few true genetic wastes of our time. Asking me, a network administrator, to explain every little nuance of everything I do each time you happen to stroll into my office is not only a waste of time, but also a waste of precious oxygen. I was hired because I know how to network computer systems, and you were apparently hired to provide amusement to myself and other employees, who watch you vainly attempt to understand the concept of “cut and paste” for the hundredth time.

You will never understand computers. Something as incredibly simple as binary still gives you too many options. You will also never understand why people hate you, but I am going to try and explain it to you, even though I am sure this will be just as effective as telling you what an IP is. Your shiny new iMac has more personality than you ever will. You walk around the building all day shiftlessly looking for fault in others. You have a sharply-dressed, useless look about you that may have worked for your interview, but now that you actually have responsibility, you pawn it off on overworked staff, hoping their talent will cover for your glaring ineptitude. In a world of managerial evolution, you are the blue-green algae that everyone else eats and laughs at. Managers like you are a sad proof of the Dilbert principle.

Since this situation is unlikely to change without you getting a full frontal lobotomy reversal, I am forced to tender my resignation; however, I have a few parting thoughts:

    * When someone calls you in reference to employment, it is illegal for you to give me a bad recommendation. The most you can say to hurt me is “I prefer not to comment.” I will have friends randomly call you over the next couple of years to keep you honest, because I know you would be unable to do that on your own.
    * I have all the passwords to every account on the system, and I know every password you have used for the last five years. If you decide to get cute, I am going to publish your “favorites” list, which I conveniently saved when you made me “back up” your useless files. I do believe that terms like “Lolita” are not usually viewed favorably by the administration.

    * When you borrowed the digital camera to “take pictures of your mother’s birthday,” you neglected to mention that you were going to take
pictures of yourself in the mirror nude. Then you forgot to erase them, like the techno-moron you really are. Suffice it to say I have never seen such odd acts with a sauce bottle, but I assure you that those have been copied and kept in safe places pending the authoring of a glowing letter of recommendation. (Try to use a spell check please; I hate having to correct your mistakes.)

Thank you for your time, and I expect the letter of recommendation on my desk by 8:00 am tomorrow. One word of this to anybody, and all of your little twisted, repugnant obsessions will be open to the public. Never f*** with your systems administrator. Why? Because they know what you do with all that free time!

Wishing you a grand and glorious day,

    Cecelia

Very old chain e-mail. Very fake, and not even remotely funny. Never did happened, and started out as a fake e-mail a few years back. Its an urban legend/myth :) If I ever had to write an e-mail like that I would have done it in South Park’s Eric Cartman style…

It acctually says the company is AMCE, in the sentence “it’s funny that ACME treats their own EMPLOYEES ” …
but it’s a funny letter to read, yes :-)

  13. kronik85
    March 15th, 2007 | 22:51

the resignation posted in the comments was funnier than that letter.

i really don’t know why you bothered putting that up.

  14. wannabeinschoolagain
    March 15th, 2007 | 23:00

knarkoffer: dude, “ACME” aint the name of a real company…lol. dont mean to be rude but did u ever watch the loony tunes, tom&jerry… u know cartoons? “acme” is used as a name for a ficticous company. A Company that Makes Everything.
    shit i´m smart. ;p

Sorry but I don’t believe in these types of letters, the grammar was pathetic and I think the writer forgot what a period and capitalization is and complains about other peoples grammar. Probably fake too, no need to use fake company names when you don’t work there and certainly don’t respect the company.

talk about a freakin random post!!!!!?!!

  17. dumbass
    March 15th, 2007 | 23:35

oh my god..that wasn’t even remotely funny…and how random can you get with these posts. WHat next, jokes and funny pictures???? It’s hard to find info on RELEASES behind all this CRAP

  18. traian
    March 15th, 2007 | 23:43

i thought this waz supposed to be a site were u can get info of the latest hot releases, not hot new gossip that doesn’t have anything to do with the release scene…well…maybe there waz nothing new to report from that scene, but i would appreciate that u would keep this sort of BS from this site…i really don’t give a fuck about this bitch and her problems at work, shes probably just a faker with to much time trying to get attention…the sad thing is when u post it on this site…

plss dont ruin this site with this kind of BS post…i understand that it may be a dry period of good releases, but if theres nothing good…don’t post anything rather than stuff like this…or else it will get to be a habit that will ruin this site!

i know there’s people that share my opinion, and those who don’t…well its a democracy, this is my opinion and u can have urs…just don’t tell my about it, ‘couse i don’t care!

to those that criticize her grammar.. i think its the fact that the management had such horrible spelling and grammar that threw her for a loop… if you’re in management learn to use spell check and know your grammar.

there’s a big difference between professional communications and something written off the cuff… i don’t think she was overly concerned about her spelling and grammar when writing the letter (as i’m not concerned with any of my omissions writing this)… seriously… she was p*ssed and fed up.

    bravo to her :)

just my 2 cents… ps… love the site and the posts :) they keep me entertained during my tedious days in hell.. errr i mean work.

You didn’t have to change my name… as for those of you raggin on my grammar/spelling… that one dude had it right. i didn’t sit at my desk and go over this shit and proof read (a la manager style)… i literally sat with a year and a half’s worth of anger towards the shittiest job ever in my head and wrote it in about 15 minutes AND THEN sent it (all of this while pissed off at HOME after hearing from my work. also, as you can see… i dislike wasting time using upper case letters. i don’t even know what this site is but someone emailed me to tell me my shit was up here… BAHAHAHA!

  31. March 17th, 2007 | 03:40

To be honest our company isn’t that bad, we give our employees a 15 percent bonus every year (not just management). The problem with call center employees is they usually don’t have much of an education so the turnover is high to begin with. Anyway good luck to that lady, she obviously didn’t have enough courage to stand up for herself while she was at work, sending it through an email isn’t very awe inspiring.

we don’t think it is reasonable to spend hundreds thousands dollars to buy a decorating watch. you can use those money to invest in other industry which will return you good profit.
here you just need to spend 100-200 dollars to buy a replica rolex watches.
Patek Philippe replica watches are made by the rating 1:1 according to the original watches, and you can’t distinguish the original and the fake watches when you look at the surface of the watches.
