PUKKA strike back with the much anticipated Beowulf R5! The quality is quite superb, looks like a DVDRiP in my opinion and the audio is equally good. Check the samples if needed Really good job from these guys. Enjoy this 2 CD rip!

Note: Some of you may have noticed a PROPER release by DiESEL however dont worry its FAKE. PUKKA’s rip is fine and unnuked.

Synopsis: In a time of heroes, the mighty warrior Beowulf slays the demon Grendel and incurs the wrath of its monstrous yet seductive mother, in a conflict that transforms a king into a legend.

    It is a telecine and an R5

    Pukka and other groups class russian R5’s as TC due to the fact that is what they are just with studio audio

    Other groups dont

    One thing does puzzle me though, why label the release R5 but state in NFO telecine?! kinda contradictory

    Been waiting for ages for this so cant wait to see what the fuss was about!!

    R5 doesnt usually have 5.1 but I would expect AC3 2.0. There is no scene rule saying they have to keep the original audio as far as Im aware.

    there was no english audio on the disc
    thats why its labeled R5.LINE not just R5
    LINE means they used direct audio from a theater headphone jack or capped from a drive in movie radio frequency

    if there was 5.1 english audio on the disc im sure PUKKA would use it

    I want a live-action/cgi blend like this for DragonLance.

    I’m in the 25 to 35 category and I’ve never heard of DragonLance. I’m not saying it isn’t big or cool – just that I haven’t heard of it and I’m pretty sure none of my friends have. However, we ALL read Lord of the Rins in school. Most public schools in the country have old copies of LOTR sitting around in English classrooms and libraries that kids read. Just because it is an old book doesn’t mean it wasn’t made for OUR generation.

    The nfo is not updated from the time they rlsd there will be blood. the time is wrong (113min not 142min) and the notes arent updated. dnt see any reason to not include AC3 audio since it had to be AC3 on the source DVDR (some DVD players are incompatible with other formats so AC3 is used always).

    @David Webb it’s barely 113 mins (according to IMDb) so it might be 1 cd release. When you get capped bandwidth and you count every gig you expect every single movie longer than 2hr to be encoded to 1 cd rls (that’s why aXXo and FxM are so popular; I guess so)

    Sorry Jax, I see lotr for the people that are in their 60’s because that is what they read in their childhood as well. They wouldn’t be interested or know what DL is.
    Now the people from the early 80;s would know and probably be interested and read DL. Now with this kind of technology that can be put on screen a live action movie will look unreal and if in IMAX like this one would be mindblowing!

    NTi uses TPBs torrents because that is the largest public tracker. NTi doesnt have a tracker, isoHunt doesnt have one, and neither does mininova. its going to be the same torrent with the same seeds and peers so you are a n00b for not knowing that.

    @136, download virtual dub mp3 freeze, and do what you would do normally with virtual dub, it will make the audio from both files the same bitrate, without any changes or loss in quality, simple.

    Also, does anyone know when sweeney todd the demon barber of fleet street will be released in a cam or preferibly a R5 or DVDSCREENER?

    @ 136 You can still use VirtualDub, just do this minor change: in Audio at the top, change from “Direct Stream Copy” to “Full Processing Mode” but leave Video in “Direct Stream “Copy”… It will not take much longer than usual and it always works fine…

    Is this one the 3D?
    I didnt realize it until after we saw the 3D one that there was also a 2D version at the theatres. After seeing the 3D on on the big screen I have NO interest in ever seeing that 2D version.

    anyone watch the whole thing know, or will the 3D be part of the DVD release, r special features of the DVD version?

    I cant find any info on the main movie homepage about the 3D part of this.

    It is a telecine and an R5

    Pukka and other groups class russian R5’s as TC due to the fact that is what they are just with studio audio

    Other groups dont

    One thing does puzzle me though, why label the release R5 but state in NFO telecine?! kinda contradictory

    Been waiting for ages for this so cant wait to see what the fuss was about!!

    NFO IS WRONG… TWBB PUKKA released couple days ago. This is an R5 with DVD pristine quality and good audio. DiESEL was prespam and PUKKA’s release is NOT nuked. Alright, clear it up kiddies

    There will be no home release of the 3D version whatsoever. Home televisions and projectors do not have the ability to replicate the projection technique used in 3D-enabled movie theaters (it requires 120 frames per second, for starters, which neither televisions or movie disc formats can handle).

    Sorry, but you’ll never be able to see the 3D version again…

    This is a must see movie. but you have to watch it in 3d at the cinemas!!!!! some bits are so damn real it is mind blowing. even the boring bits were great because of the 3d.

    Well correct me if i’m wrong, but a R5 release IS a DVDrip, just with audio from another source. R5 releases are Russian DVD releases, that are basic and stripped down, that are released before retail DVD around the world, in an effort to combat piracy over there with movies being released while they are in theatre or just out of theatre.

    This is a great copy, no need to nuke, pic is clear, sound is great and if you have a problem with 2 cds why not just convert it from AVI to dvd using ConvertXtoDvd and put both files on 1 cd? you can’t even tell it was ever a 2 cd & the quality is still great.

    Y dont release groups do smthin innovative. for this particular release, the sound is preety much clear and the dialogues are quite crisp. what they can do is add ac3 audio of thr R5 release while stripping the center channel russian language dialogues and add their own tweaked audio (english) for the center channel. so if the line sound is good quality and matches with the other 5 channels , it wil be very near to a dvdrip. still call it r5 but it would be ac3 5.1.

    Just a thought.! what say?

    @291: We’re talking about PUKKA here, not IBRaHiMOViC! R5.LINE means it is indeed the russian (region 5) release and the LINE refers to ripped ENGLISH audio (as you find on a TS). ;) lol, so you can just grab it and tune in.

    Does R5 LINE mean it’s mono audio again? Why do R5 scene releases always have mono audio, while in fact the sources DO have stereo English language audio on them?

    Because R5 are russian releases with english audio.
    English stereo audio arn’t obtainable.
