Beneath 2007 DVDRip XviD-ESPiSE

Group ESPiSE released a new dvdrip of a horror Beneath, which is still a big unknown. Although it doesn’t look like another low-budget flick with no known actor whatsoever, there’s hardly some information about it on the internet. The film was filmed under Paramount Classic and MTV production by a completely new director Dagen Merrill in Vancouver. I’m not really sure if it even hits cinemas, because it looks like a classic STV title. Anyway, quality is pretty fine and it fits only on 1 CD.

Christy (Zehetner) returns to her hometown years after a car accident that disfigured her older sister. Haunted by the accident in which she was the driver, she learns that her worst nightmares have either come true … or are about to.

“with no known actor whatsoever” ??!

    There’s:

Nora Zehetner - known from the tv-series “Heroes”
Carly Pope - known from the tv-series “Popular”

I’m looking forward to this one! :)

  4. July 31st, 2007 | 11:55

PG: read the sentence from the beginning please:

    “Although it doesn’t look like”

that means there are some known actors.

No craig, SEN stands for Stupid Englishgrammar Nazi.

Personally, I understood Martin’s post perfectly well. Mind you I do not have an ego that makes me judge everyone else against my own ‘perfection’.

Anyway, thanks for the post - will “suck it and see” as they say. (whoever ‘they’ are!)

zehetner was also in the indie baby “brick”, along with the guy (gordon-lewitt was it?) who was recently in “the lookout”.

Is it just me, or is there a little MTV icon on top of the cover/poster?

    MTV spells sucky movies…

Someone please explain this to me…

Why are people still making DVD rips into one 700mb or two 700mb files? NOBODY BURNS TO CDs ANYMORE! It doesn’t make any sense. If you want a higher quality, then just make it ONE FILE of 1400 MB!!! Why separate it to two files? Makes no freakin sense. It makes no sense that we are making are DVDrips based on what fits on CDs…

It’s my biggest pet peeve with everyone right now. I make a DVD rip based on how long the movie is, and how high I want the quality. A standard BITRATE makes more sense than a standard size of 700 or 1400 mb! People are such idiots.

    July 31st, 2007 | 14:26

se7en, it seems to be easier to make 700mb file while still maintaining a good quality image. Most people don’t have unlimited broadband usage so anything more than 1gb for a movie is poo poo. If people wanted less than 700mb they can go with RMVB files. There are some people that make 800mb movies. No big deal.

  11. July 31st, 2007 | 14:28

    @se7en

Good quality on 700mb with AC3 Sound and MORE ROOM for movies on 1 DVD.

    Keep it 700!!!!!!!

There’s just so much going wrong with this sentence:

“Although it doesn’t look like another low-budget flick with no known actor whatsoever, there’s hardly some information about it on the internet.”

Martin, how about u give us your opinion after you tell us what the movie is about.

will check this out, i enjoy most horror movies.

what bugs me sort of is that six 700mb files fit on a dvd-r … with about half a movie size to spare. when i rip movies for myself to put on dvd-r, i make ‘em so that either five or six movies fit almost exactly. now that cd-rs are obsolete there’s no need to stick with 700/1.4 anymore … just seems logical, no?

  19. July 31st, 2007 | 16:45

p.s. –RLSLOG.net STAFF– This is the fourth time one of your banner ads here have tried to get my linux box to download a windows based trojan. roflmfao.

    July 31st, 2007 | 18:02

I prefer 700mb files although I would rather have one joint 1.4GB video fiel than two seperate 700mb like Die Hard 4 movie ( CD1, CD2).

    July 31st, 2007 | 18:04

Does anyone know if Postal will have a screener released.

  24. July 31st, 2007 | 19:34

Didn’t even know this site had ads. Adblock Plus Is the best. Gona give this a movie a try. I would prefer bigger better files. I watch all my stuff on my 24″ monitor + 2Mb broadband = better quality FTW!

se7en has been on here all day leaving non-productive comments. earlier he blasted someone for posting the imdb link to a movie in the torrents comments. (which i find very useful, because then i dont have to go searching for it)
its simple, se7en, if ya don’t like how it’s done then don’t get it or better yet do it yourself

    August 1st, 2007 | 00:01

Oh god not this crap again about rips being to small…..look…if you don’t like the sizes of them don’t download them, or better yet, do them yourself, at the size you want them at…..oh yeah…..I forgot you don’t do the ripping,

anyway, again for those who have trouble reading 700mb rips are standard, and will always be here, kinda like VHS you hate the quality….but can’t be arsed to get that sparkly new, over priced DVD recorder blu ray HD tea and coffee maker…..

    just get over it.

Perfectionist: Doesn’t much matter as I’m running Linux, it was just funny that I got a javascript warning about not being able to run [randomchars].exe. ROFLMFAO This site is good, just sometimes the banner ad companies don’t check their content, or even worse do it on purpose. I don’t even see the ads, but the javascript sure made me giggle.

the main reason the scene settle on 700mb files is so that the movies can be burned to cd and played on divx compliant dvd players. thats why releases get nuked for bad itvc or custom matrix’s because they dont play right on standalones. if you dont like the split files join them with virtualdub or AVIMux_GUI, its real simple. btw this movie looks like a ratio killer, think ill pass.

Around 10 comments on the file size???

Maybe some information about the film from somebody instead of debates on file sizes and going off topic. I’m sure I’m not the only one who is interested in knowing whether the film is good or not.

This coming to you way late, but here’s my review of the movie:

It’s not a waste of time, it’s regular horror movie. It does have a few interesting twists, but the plot as a whole is entirely messed up from the get-go. Worth watching if you have some bandwidth to spare (while regular TV Shows don’t return and there are no blockbuster movies around)

    August 12th, 2007 | 05:20

NOTE: I meant messed up as in dark and twisted, not as in bad or poorly done.
