Bella 2006 LIMITED DVDScr xVID-LRC

Group LRC released this DVDSCR of Mexican/American film “Bella”, which has won awards in the Heartland and Toronto film festivals. Interesting to check out for fans of the Drama genre.

Synopsis: BELLA opens with a flashback to a confident young man named Jose (Eduardo Verastegui) who is poised to become a major soccer star. The film then flashes forward to the present day, and we see Jose working as a chef in his brother Manny’s (Manny Perez) restaurant. A swaggering athlete no more, he has camouflaged his striking looks with long hair and a thick beard. When his hot-tempered brother fires a waitress for showing up late, Jose makes the spontaneous decision to walk off the job and go check on her. He catches the young woman, Nina (Tammy Blanchard), just as she is about to board the subway, and she reveals to him that she is pregnant.

    Looks like a good movie. I’m snatching it. Thanks.

    To easily add subtitles directly into movie files (mux) for playback on standalone DivX players, AVIAddXSubs can do the trick. Burn the new .divx file like you else would. You can select subs now. http://www.calcitapp.com/AVIAddXSubs.php

    @ole

    thanks for that tip
    i have been laboriously recoding avi files to get hard subs. it takes hours and makes the file size jump three sizes.

    if this works it will be of great help to me

    OFFTOPIC: I know this is offtopic but I don’t have a clue where else to post about it. The R5 of “In the name of the King” has been out for a couple of days, and there are RS links floating around. Can anyone confirm? There is no information on Rlslog.

    This movie looks interesting, thanks.

    As for the R5 of “In The Name Of The King”. It’s real.

    But I don’t think it’s a scene release & I’m pretty sure the audio is horrible, most likely cam audio.

    Like when the first R5 of “The Brave One” came out.

    January 27th, 2008 | 15:43

    @8 Aydin

    “i have been laboriously recoding avi files to get hard subs”

    OMG!

    For years there has already been an application that does pretty much the same as far as multiplexing is concerned. It is AVI-Mux GUI. AVI-Mux GUI though does not demultiplex the AVI on itself. For demultiplexing you have to use another application, e.g. Virtualdub.

    Also, I don’t know if AVI-Mux GUI supports idx/sub (bitmaps) subtitles, but it does certainly support srt and sub (ASCII) subtitles.

    AVI-Mux GUI:

    btw, is it just me or is anyone else waiting like forever for The Diving Bell and the Butterfly? it’s like my most anticipated of the great year for movies that was 2007, Juno being 2nd.

    Why not just use ConvertX?
    If there is subs out there they are easy to find. I usually just google them.
    Add the divx to ConvertX add the subs to the movie and let it do its business.
    On the finisged dvd you can turn the subs off and on.
    I think ConvertX can use srt, idx, and sub files.

    alk, really?

    diving bell is like the most critically acclaimed film of the year both in rottentomatoes and metacritic. it just got nominated for 4 oscars. slightly not making it to best picture. i always carry the feeling that it’s gonna get released sooner rather than later, much to my disappointment. i’ve been waiting for the scene to do it for more than a month now. :(

    The nerve!!!!!
    A pro-life message in a movie!?
    I’ve seen it all now.
    How disgusting of this director to try to tell ME what his views on abortion are. What kind of world would let opposing voices to be heard? Not one I fancy to live in, that’s for sure.

    @25 whatev4r
    It’s directed by Uwe Boll. What did you expect?

    @28 ronron
    “limited” is non-mainstream, indie, etc

    @13 TYVM for the links

    @27 lots of scene iNFOs

    http://www.aboutthescene.com/releases/tags.html

    LiMiTED:
    A movie is LiMiTED when it has a limited theater run. Generally smaller films (such as art house films) are released as limited. The scene considers a movie limited when it has a generally opening in less than 300 UK theaters, or in less than 500 USA theaters. In the scene jargon, it’s usually called 300 UK screens, or 500 USA screens. Officially, it’s not the opening weekend’s number of theaters that counts, but the peak of the number of theaters. For example; when a movie has 275 UK screens in the opening weekend, and 1 week later it has 325 screens, it’s not limited.

    @4 (&14) thanks for the sub info and of course thanks to Bleez and the RLS buccaneers. yar!

  37. friendlyfiles ADSTechnology?
    January 28th, 2008 | 03:54

    Have you used friendlyfiles.net to dl anything?
    If so: have you experienced new or different ads or any other new obtrusities since using friendlyfiles?

    I ask because friendlyfiles asks explicitly to use Internet Explorer for their links. They do not allow the use of Firefox or Opera (which I use). Since Internet Explorer prior to v.7 is so malware-friendly, and my system has problems with the new MSIE 7, I couldn’t use their links even if I would want to.

    Searching for ADSTechnology (sported by friendlyfiles), Google yields links that mention adware and an .EXE and .DLL files that are installed when trying to download from friendlyfiles via MSIE.
