Before the Devil Knows Youre Dead LIMITED REPACK READNFO DVDRip XviD-Larceny

New boys Larceny REPACK this film, which has been posted here in all its different versions for many times over. Hopefully this is the real deal. Larceny say in the NFO that their former release was nuked for having “French text in small parts of the movie”. That’s fixed now. Normal video and audio quality for a 1 CD DVDRip. For a highly-rated feature film with a runtime of 117 minutes, I think a 2 CD release would be better, but there’s nothing really wrong with the quality here. Anyway, congrats to Larceny for winning the longest-title-of-the-year award.

Synopsis: Master filmmaker Sidney Lumet directs this absorbing suspense thriller about a family facing the worst enemy of all - itself. Oscar-winner Philip Seymour Hoffman plays Andy, an overextended broker who lures his younger brother, Hank (Ethan Hawke) into a larcenous scheme: the pair will rob a suburban mom-and-pop jewelry store that appears to be the quintessential easy target. The problem is, the store owners are Andy and Hank’s actual mom and pop and, when the seemingly perfect crime goes awry, the damage lands right at their doorstep. Oscar-winner Marisa Tomei plays Hoffman’s trophy wife, who is having a clandestine affair with Hawke, and the stellar cast also includes Albert Finney as the family patriarch who pursues justice at all costs, completely unaware that the culprits he is hunting are his own sons.

    The previous version was great too, I watched that. It had perfect video and audio. The only thing was that the scene prompters (the text describing when the scene takes place) were in French. It was perfectly watchable.

    Hoffman is really good in this one, an idiot as usual. And somehow I always laugh at him, no matter the level of seriousness. Ethan Hawke is one of my favorites since way back in the days; Dead Poets Society!

    It’s nicely filmed as well.
    4/5 ; The movie reached 4 thanks to Philip Seymour Hoffman & almost hit 3 because Ethan Hawke’s playing a wimp, AGAIN!

    This film is such an utter turd that if I were about to be shot in the head and could spend 2 minutes watching some random, grainy, dark rubbish clip on YouTube or this film, I’d go for YouTube. It’s seriously that bad.
