Beepa Fraps v2.9.3.6914-TWK

Fraps is small but powerful (must have) tool for gamers. Why? Read on…

Description:

Fraps is a universal Windows application that can be used with games using DirectX or OpenGL graphic technology. In its current form Fraps performs many tasks and can best be described as:

Benchmarking Software – Show how many Frames Per Second (FPS) you are getting in a corner of your screen. Perform custom benchmarks and measure the frame rate between any two points. Save the statistics out to disk and use them for your own reviews and applications.

Screen Capture Software – Take a screenshot with the press of a key! There’s no need to paste into a paint program every time you want a new shot. Your screen captures are automatically named and timestamped.

Realtime Video Capture Software – Have you ever wanted to record video while playing your favourite game? Come join the Machinima revolution! Throw away the VCR, forget about using a DV cam, game recording has never been this easy! Fraps can capture audio and video up to 2560×1600 on dual-core CPUs (1152×864 single-core) at up to 100 frames per second!

@1 Neo: This is the best program at what it does. You need a very good computer to be able to record games running high resolution at decent framerates though, but thats not Fraps fault.

@4 Salsero: I agree it looks bad but who cares, you don’t look at the program that much anyway, you just start it and but it in the background. :)

One of the best pieces of software ever made, amazing at what it does, a must have for any gamer. I’ve been using it for more than 2 years now and I can honestly say it KICKS ASS, it’s just an awesome piece of software.

It works, true, but not brilliantly. Sound capturing for videos is shot to hell, and the movie file that came out from a few minutes was >2gb. Not brilliant, but acceptable.

Great for capturing games, but only if you have a lot of room to give up on your HDD and don’t mind a bit of lag. other than that, works great.

what pc system req, u actually need to have to record something smoothly, well at least record it somehow, cuz I have old p-1,4, 512 ram, Ge4TI4200, and when I try to record in-game, horrible spikes, totally unplayable etc..

    I’m on a

AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 4000+ Brisbane 2.11 GHz CPU
with OCZ System Elite DDR2-800 2GB 240 Pin RAM
& the EVGA Geforce 8800 GT

I don’t get any lag what so ever.

whoever gets lag with this, get a new computer. is all I may recommend.

set Fraps to one Core Affinity & your game to The Other Affinity of your CPU.

I can record at 1920×1200 with absolutely no lag at all, even on the most up to date games. and even twice as better on older games.

so yeah, buy a new computer

    oh yeah, one more thing.

more than one hard drive helps A LOT with Fraps.

because on person noted, that Fraps movies are VERY large due to the uncompressed method Fraps uses.

which also puts a lot of stress on your hard drive, especially if you are recording fraps movies the hard drive you’re playing the game off of.

I have 2x 250 GB SATA2’s and I have fraps recording to one SATA2 & I’m playing the game on the other SATA2 so yeah, more than one hard drive helps

Yay a small release with no trojan! regular christmas miracle, awsome program, love it. I tend to use it as an FPS moniter rather than capture device.

in what format does this save the video file. Older versions used to make large files of 250 Mb size for very small duration of video. What format does this encode now? What is file size for a 5 min movie?

we don’t think it is reasonable to spend hundreds thousands dollars to buy a decorating watch. you can use those money to invest in other industry which will return you good profit.
here you just need to spend 100-200 dollars to buy a replica rolex watches.
Longines replica watches are made by the rating 1:1 according to the original watches, and you can’t distinguish the original and the fake watches when you look at the surface of the watches.
