http://www.imageflux.net/uploads/235741baygenie_boxshot_small.jpgHERiTAGE gives us a proper Release of BayGenie eBay Auction Sniper Pro Edition that helps with eBay Bids …

What is auction sniper :

Have you ever lost a bid on eBay because someone else put a higher bid at the last seconds? Placing a bid just before the auction ends, also known as “sniping”, is a strategy a lot of eBay bidders use to win auctions. BayGenie eBay Auction Sniper will snipe eBay auctions for you!
BayGenie can snipe eBay auctions :

It automates the process of placing bids on an eBay auction at the closing timen. With its seamless eBay integration, you can login to eBay and search for items using its integrated browser. Once you have found an auction that you are interested, you can add it to your watch list and setup how long before the end of the auction you want BayGenie to place your bid. Then all you have to do is sit back and relax. BayGenie will automatically place the bid for you, even if it’s 3am in the morning.
BayGenie can track eBay auctions :

It also contains an auction tracking system that tracks all the items that you are watching, bidding, won or lost. It shows important information for each item, such as the current highest bidding amount, ending time, etc. It also supports multiple users so that different eBay users can use the same BayGenie without affecting each other.

    While I am thanking the poster for programs here at RLSLOG, this should have not been posted. The reason? If you look at eBays new TOS, if you are caught sniping and it is proven you are, then your account with them is now banned. And to make sure you dont sneak back in under a different name, they have hired people to watch for this. What they do is check on what you were bidding on before and what your habits are (and yes you have them even if you dont know it) and if this matches a profile of the banned account, the account is suspended until you can prove that you are not this banned person.

    Yes eBay will lose some customers like this, but they will have a lot less complaints set against them for people sniping auctions, which is already against the TOS that you agreed to when you signed up.

  14. Is it common sense?
    September 2nd, 2008 | 13:43

    In response to 12 common sense..

    Please indicate where in the ebay TOS such a thing exists as the below is taken from ebay as of today……

    Last-minute bidding

    Placing a high bid in the closing seconds of an auction-style listing is called “sniping” within the eBay Community. Sniping is part of the eBay experience and all bids placed before a listing ends are valid – even if they’re placed one second before the listing ends.

    To help avoid disappointment, ensure that the maximum bid you enter on the item page is the highest price that you’re willing to pay. The eBay bidding system automatically increases your bid up to the maximum price you specify, so entering a higher maximum may help prevent you from being outbid in the closing seconds of a listing.

    @Alfred Prufrock

    Yes this one is updated very regularly. I cracked it myself so I apply the same patch (byte search) to each release but I dunno about the crack with this one – is it a keygen or a byte patcher (as opposed to offset which is unlikely to work – but may for a while assuming tiny modifications)?

    Anyone who downloaded it know?

    @15

    Had a quick peek – looks like an offset patcher. This means it will probably be useless as soon as the new version comes out.

    Could be wrong though – it has happened before :)

    What it boils down to, is the winner is prepared to pay more for the item. Along with a healthy amount of snipers parading in Ebay, there is also a good deal of Shilling Sellers: Sellers who bid on their own auctions to raise the prices. To create a frenzy. Then add a whole lot of compromised seller accounts/ebay&paypal, when once you pay for the item they take the money and close the account.

    Another is how very stupid bidders raise the price of the item dramatically within a very brief time window. eg: Up 50$ in 2mins. especially when there is more than 3days left.

    Seeing that you have used an older page that will be updated soon with the new TOS, maybe you should look here and they will tell you that themselves. Or better yet, call the corporate office and ask them and their legal department and they will also tell you the same thing. Bidding is one thing, but to CONSTANTLY snipe is what gets you banned. If you read my reply you will see that is what I stated. if you do it once in a while they dont like it but wont say much, you do it every time and a ticked off bidder complains; and you are gone. Why do you think they changed the feedback so you cannot leave a bad one anymore? Too many were doing this when they didnt get what they wanted because they didnt read the item listing. Same thing here. One bad apple spoils the bunch.

    @19
    I’m curious about this myself.
    If I’m not mistaken – a TOS can’t really be binding if it’s not yet published and/or accepted by the customer? #14 got it right (at least for the moment?) when citing “Sniping is part of the eBay experience”. According to ebay themselves, it really is.
    Please use a better form of quotation than “call them yourself”. Explain how and where you obtained the information and direct us to a legitimate source.

    Sniping is just bidding with a dangerous name used to sell apps like baygenie.

    “Why do you think they changed the feedback so you cannot leave a bad one anymore? Too many were doing this when they didnt get”
    What ? This is news to me, and probably everyone else here that uses eBay…

    ^^sellers can’t leave negative feedback anymore, only buyers can leave negatives. It’s been like this for the last couple of months or so.

    Ebay are running a promototion at the moment. http://pages.ebay.com.au/bargainhunt/

    And they say “Keep a watchful eye on items you’re interested in. Pounce on your prey when it’s least expected. ”

    To me it sound like they are saying – snipe at the last second when no on is expecting it. Well that’s certainly
