Battlestations Midway-ViTALiTY

It’s been too long since I last posted a game. Battlestations Midway is best described as Battlefield 1942 without the infantry part. It’s an arcade sim of all kinds of WWII (World War Two) vehicles and basically it’s one of those games you have to play online to really enjoy it.

Prepare for a totally new combat experience as you fight massive air, sea and undersea battles in WWII’s Pacific theatre in direct command of multiple warships, planes and submarines in this epic solo and online tactical action game.

For the first time experience the true intensity of large scale aerial and naval combat in a unique mix of direct action and tactical play. Directly control dozens of highly detailed warships, aircraft and submarines in a ‘free-control’ environment as you design and execute the best plans of attack. Command the colossal firepower of a fully armed battleship, engage the enemy in fierce dogfights through flak-infested skies, or utilise the silent attack of your submarine to unleash deadly torpedo attacks on unsuspecting enemies.

Battlestations: Midway follows the story of naval recruit Henry Walker, whose first assignment as a gunner at Pearl Harbor is the starting point of an incredible career at the heart of the US Pacific Fleet in 1942, in what was to become one of the most inspirational military campaigns in history.

Features:

  • Experience epic WWII combat from multiple perspectives as you jump between dozens of units, playing as a pilot, a gunner, a submarine captain or even a carrier fleet commander.
  • Every battle takes place simultaneously in the air, on the sea and beneath the waves. Movement of your fleet and the individual efforts of any one vehicle is critical to success.
  • Huge multi-unit online battles with up to 8 players controlling over 100 units via Xbox Live and Gamespy.
  • Cutting-edge graphics bring the Pacific ocean and island chains alive with lush real-world environments, dynamic weather effects and incredibly detailed vehicles and weaponry.
  • Each warship, plane and submarine is authentically designed. The more players know about each units profile, capabilities and weaknesses the better they will fight.
  • Features 11 epic campaign missions, 12 bonus challenge missions, naval training academy and an immersive storyline.

System Requirements:

  • OS: Windows XP Home, Pro, 64bit edition, Windows Vista
  • Processor: Intel Pentium 4 2Ghz or AMD Athlon XP 1800+
  • RAM: 512 MB
  • Video card: nVidia GeForce4 series (not including MX cards) or Radeon 9000 (1.1 pixelshader compatible)

Hmmm has potential not to suck. I’m guessing the single player offline missions are pretty weak tho.

And going from the requirements I’m not expecting a very pretty game.

    Gonna try it tho

Nice post and it looks like a nice game, but wouldnt it also be nice if youd include a gametrailer when posting a gamerelease… http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?id=1544

can’t find any screenshots of the actual gameplay… how comes?

Wickido, that’s actually an awesome idea! I visit GT every day, more then 5 times a day so I could easily do that. I’ll notify Martin ASAP, I think you’ve just set a new standard for a game release post on RLSLOG.

Just played it. The tutorial lasted about 80 minutes…
Looks ok, the controls are not as bad as I expected, but I hate flying… No dogfights for me. Some minor issues that could eliminated in patches. All in all one of the better strategic action games. Runs amazingly fluid on my rig.

Oh, about the Game Trailers, I would consider a link to the game page on gametrailers.com as simple gameplay videos give a lot more realistic look on the game.
I can only recommend paying 3$ a month for IGN insider, the HD stuff is worth it. Although you can find a lot of it on GT.com for free.

Thanks for picking the comment up as positive as you did Kevin. Just like to keep Rlslog.net the way it is: Damn Good. ;)

if you can download the DLL file and stick it in the same directory as the game’s executable, that usually works.

LAN always crashes to desktop. We’ve insatlled it on 5 puters now, and any time it’s looking for the LAN server, every one of them will crash to desktop.

I really need help. I did everything it says in the.nfo file from vitality, and the crack won’t work. It refusez to launch.
I also tried the Yasu method, but when i start the game it says that battlestationmidway.exe has encountered a problem. Before that, it gives a runtime error. What’s to do?
