On August 7, 2008 SciFi Channel officially announced the production of a two-hour TV movie which was originally supposed to air after the final episode of Season 4. The movie began production on September 8, 2008. The movie is scheduled to premiere exclusively on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download on October 27, 2009 and tentatively scheduled to air in 2010 on SciFi. Written by Jane Espenson and directed by Edward James Olmos, The Plan storyline begins before the attack on the 12 colonies and will show events mainly from the perspective of two Cylon agents, Cavil and Anders. Tricia Helfer states that the disappearance of Shelly Godfrey in “Six Degrees of Separation” will be explained. IGN reports scenes including Aaron Doral preparing for the suicide bombing seen in “Litmus”, Anders awakening in a Cylon resurrection chamber, and Cavil berating Boomer for failing to kill William Adama in “Kobol’s Last Gleaming”. In addition to Shelly Godfrey, there is a dark-haired Six called “Tough Six” in the script. A sneak peek was made available by SciFi on June 12, 2009, showing Cavil and Ellen Tigh during the events of “33″. Confirmed cast members include Olmos, Michael Trucco, Aaron Douglas and Dean Stockwell. All the actors playing Cylons have been confirmed for the movie, except Lucy Lawless. Tricia Helfer, Grace Park, Rick Worthy, Matthew Bennett, Callum Keith Rennie, Michael Hogan and Rekha Sharma will also feature.
On July 24, 2009, Edward James Olmos stated that The Plan will not be the last BSG movie

The weak 4th season and down right horrible finale have ruined BSG for me. Such a shame because it started so great, a show that even non scifi fans could get into.
Haven’t been able to watch either this or Caprica yet because ultimately I know what a crappy ending it has.

Agreed on the weak 4th season although even with the weak 4th season it was still the best show out there as far as story line, character development, and just the whole feel of the show. ALMOST everything felt plausible and not much took me out of the acting, in most shows i just picture the actors acting but this show really sucked me in and had me following it.
Too me it actually has a lot of similarity to the HBO show “the Wire” anyone else feel like that? I know they are completely different genre’s but they felt kinda similar.
This is the second copy ive downloaded both have been corrupt. I was able to use winrar to repair the first one after i realized both were corrupt

It was good for an unexpected laugh.
Im very dissapointed. It’s sucks a lot more than finale, it’s just jumpyand for people who haven’t seen series it will be very confusing (hell i’ve seen the series and it was still somewhat confusing).
Several of the key scenes are from the original series, so you are not really missing anything if you don’t watch it.
It’s sad. I had high hopes for this one.

I thought the 4th season was great, and the finale was GREAT right up until they got to the Planet. I thought they would have found something other than what they found, but it was still a great show overall.

I don’t think the 4th season was weak… the show was built up so nicely till that point and brought me so much that I respect any directions its creators want to take it in. And I was fine with the ending…
And I’ve only seen half of this so far and I love it…It comes to a point where just about anything about this series will do… *severe withdrawal symptoms*

I have watched all the seasons and the end completely blew it for me. it destroyed the foundation of the series.
The premise of the series was to be simple. Man invents machines, machines turns against man, fight fight fight. then boum..show’s over.
Then the writer’s started to try to incorporate some sort of messiah and religion into the plot. People being killed left and right within one show, just to get rid of their plotline or subplot to get out of the plotting problems. And end that left more questions than when you had started the series. All along the shows publicity moto was ” all will be revealed” but the end just plain was the cheapest cop out for a plot if you had ever seen one.
The series had great actor’s , great effect, there was some up and down episodes and some real awe inspiring one, but season 4.5 completely smashed it for many people. I was watching the show and there was a party on space wherein they would show the reaction ot the people on the finale…let me tell you that a lot of people did not know what much to say,,they were telling it was good because they were on tv but you could see in their face that they were forcing themselves to say it was good…i have read the official forums, which deleted any negative comments as soon as they came up, i have read ratings on amazon.com and a lot of people think this was the greatest thing since apple pie…remember how the matrix jacked up people and people were just dumbfounded after leaving the matrix 3….well let me tell you a lot of people have that point of view towards the series now.
I have seen caprica…does not look bad…but adama looks like a weak pathetic whinner and whomever his name is looks like a mad reed richards, trying to recreate life for his dead daughter…that show too will surely become somewhat of a religious message and end up just as bad as galactica..
at least we got fringe and other better good shows now to seek our teeth in!!!!
