Battlestar Galactica Razor 2007 UNRATED EXTENDED DVDRip XviD-WAT

All Battlestar Galactica fans can finally enjoy the retail, unrated and extended version of Battlestar Galactica Razor, a sci-fi movie which has been released in a new dvdrip by unknown group WAT. The extended version offers 16 minutes of additional footage against standard version. The movie would probably deserve a 2 CD release with its 103 min, but quality is acceptable. English subtitles included.

The special two-hour episode “Razor”, which will serve as a backdrop for the events of season four of Battlestar Galactica, tells the story of Lee Adama’s first mission as the commander of the battlestar Pegasus — and the harrowing tale of that ship’s desperate fight for survival in the immediate aftermath of the Cylon’s genocidal siege of the Twelve Colonies. Lee Adama’s new XO, Major Kendra Shaw, is plagued by memories of her service and sacrifices under Admiral Helena Cain, who was able to save her ship during the Cylon attack — but only by making Shaw and her fellow officers rationalize suicidal battle tactics and brutal war crimes against their own people. In the crucible of war, Shaw must let her hesitation and doubts burn away, until all that remains of her is the honed edge of a living human weapon — what Colonial veterans call “a razor.” But an edge so fine cuts in more than one direction. It can cleave an enemy to pieces … or it can carve away a person’s soul.

WAT is a pretty known group for releasing TV show DVD-rips though :)

Just like Anonymous says, WAT is pretty known by releasing nice DVDrips of tvseries, like Lost, Prison Break. Hell, just downloaded some South Park dvdrips from them. And they’re way better then the recorded tv versions.

This movie left a bad taste in my mouth. First, SciFi hypes it for weeks with their “Two minute razor flashbacks” and when the movie finally airs, only the last couple are actually in the movie, then it’s “Buy the unrated, extended edition!” Of course people will buy it, and then discover that most of the “extended” footage has already been aired in the flashbacks.

Not to mention that the entire movie is a flashback to when Lee took command of the Pegasus, which then flashes back to the original Cylon attack, which then flashes back even further to the first Cylon war. The scenes in the ads showing the classic Cylons made it seem as if a significant portion of the movie would be set during the first war.

Maybe the whole thing would have been more interesting if I didn’t already know that shortly after taking command, Lee would just sacrifice the ship for no good reason. “Let’s see, we have tons of long range weapons, including missiles, guns, etc. so we could stay at a safe distance and really hammer the enemy… Nah! Let’s dive the most powerful ship we have right into the middle of all the enemies so it’s sure to get destroyed.” Moron!

ok guys and girls i have some important imformation that you might like to hear, that is if you havnt heard it already.

AXXO will no longer be releasing any new dvd rips for the time being. it is to do with fake axxo accounts and issues with the pirate bay torrent site.

how long will he be gone for? unsure.

i got this imformation from darkside website which is axxo’s base.

i hope you guys that run releaselog can find out some more imfo and post your findings on this great site.

also heard of a big torrent site was shut down which was based in iceland.

Does anyone actually give a toss about this storyline?

As it is, they aren’t even going to complete the one that we’ve been watching for three years so why should be become involved in this piece of irrelevent rubbish?

  19. Bob
    December 1st, 2007 | 22:35

Wibble – clearly you know nothing, season 4 has been completed ready to air and is the last season, the series was always intended as four or five season arc – so has been allowed to run its course as the producers intended.

This flashback Pegasus episode tie’s up lots of loose ends along with dropping hints to what may come in season 4. So check your fact before opening your mouth, dumb ass!

  20. JonnyB
    December 1st, 2007 | 22:43

Bob, you’ve got it slightly wrong, Season 4 has not yet completed shooting because of the writers guide strikes in the USA, and also the fact they have run out of scripts somewhere around episode 13. Ron D Moore (the show runner) hopes that the strike will conclude soon so Battlestar can start up again and finish shooting season 4.

  21. Bruce
    December 1st, 2007 | 22:55

I agree with you Bob. There is a significant and very important hint in “Razor” concerning Starbuck and the ckiffhanger ending from last season.
But I do think that it could have given us more hints.

And Wibble does have a point! I read on eztv that Ronald D.Moore (executive producer) of Battlestar wasn’t sure if he could resume filming because of the writer’s strike. 13 episodes are finished filming. With 9 still to go. So just prepared. I think it would be an injustice to the fans. Let’s hope that all will resolve soon.

    December 1st, 2007 | 23:04

JonnyB – well strikes aside (which id forgot about tbh so thanks for pointing that out), it’s still on for final season – so quite where ‘wibble’ got 3 years from and be so dismissive of what was decent tie up loose ends episode…

  24. Narky
    December 1st, 2007 | 23:10

As for how Battlestar Galactica is being affected, Moore said “We have an episode [filming] on the stage right now that will be the last episode. We don’t have a script beyond that, so this will be it.” There had been varying talk about just how many episodes Battlestar had completed of its 20 episode final season, but Moore told me the episode filming now “happens to be our mid-season cliffhanger, so it’s just one of the quirks of the schedule that boom, we will finish our first ten and the network had planned to show just the first ten anyway. The airdate for the back ten was up in the air. Now it’s even more up in the air.”

There i put the debate to bed ;)

    @8
    THANKS!!
Adrive is MUCH BETTER than RapidShare — No waiting, no 100 MB file limit and it finished downloading much faster.

PS – Are the 13 or so extended minutes any good (aka too violent or sexual for the SciFi channel) ?

  27. Narky
    December 2nd, 2007 | 00:10

Production wrapped on episode 413 late last night, and there’s no certain date to resume shooting. No more scripts exist. My office staff has been laid off. My cast has been suspended, without pay.

I refuse to believe that we won’t finish, that we won’t be back to film our final stories, but I know and accept there is that possibility. The strike will be a seminal event for many of us in this business as it’s put literally everything we care about in the balance (if only for a short time so far) for something we all believe is important.

Galactica’s coming back, I frakking promise you that. But I am ready to put the rest of the story on the table and take the risk that I’ll never be able to tell it, in support of this strike.

Like Adama says, you make your choices and then you live with them.

    Still.

    A helluva gamble.

    Ron Moore

    Bob…

Face facts.. the enitre series is just ambling along from one show to the next.. any pretence at getting a completed storyline has gone out the window with it’s cancellation after the 4th series. Any closure will be a rushed mess with gaping plot holes and loose ends.

BTW.. to call someone a “dumb ass” over differing views of a TV show isn’t exactly the heights of intellectual discussion..hmmm?

God damn I’m glad Doctor Who and it’s spin-offs are British shows so they won’t be affected by the ridiculous writers strike crap… If BSG gets the shaft because of it, I hope the producers can cap it off with a miniseries or a movies like Farscape and Serenity respectively.

  33. Narky
    December 2nd, 2007 | 06:19

The reason he may not get to finish can be put down to Sci-Fi deciding to drop it, because A: the schedule disruption and B: slow drop in the viewing figures, which is mainly attributed to the new rather stupid late night slot on poor day of the week (Iirc got moved at start of season 3?).

Also, the actors can only be held on contract unpaid for so long before they can activate a clause to seek fresh work iirc.

What is it with this stupid society?

Every slapper b*tch that want to get noticed just thinks she can take het kit off at she’s a star.. and the sad thing about it is that you all fall for it everytime.

This “Paris Hilton” society full of brainless droolers makes me want to puke.

I’d like to mention a few things :

I tried to get the single file from Adrive but that would have taken me 3 hours. Instead, I downloaded the files from 4filehosting. That took me only 1h30′.

I stopped caring about Battlestar Galactica midway through the second season because I was tired of watching Doctor Baltar masturbate or have sex every single episode. That’s not what I expected from a scifi series. In Galactica, erotic scenes were simply pornographic while on a series like Firefly, they were more subtle (if I remember correctly). Even worse, had I bought the DVDs, was I supposed to hide them under my bed like some contraband, hoping that my (very young) nephews and nieces would never find them ? No, thanks !

I’ve followed the news about the series from far, far away. I’ve decided to watch Razor because there’s nothing worth watching on television were I live and, quite frankly, Stargate Atlantis is kind of repetitive. Beside, I appreciated the way Michelle Forbes portrayed Admiral Cain. I just hope I’m not wrong, in which case I’ll simply delete the avi file forever.

About the 4 year duration of Galactica, my guess is the producers didn’t want to tempt fate : it’s hard to keep ratings at a peak for more than five years and studios executives are notoriously unreliable. Just see what happened to Andromeda Ascendant.
