Another good Japanese movie is here. This time the old movie “Batoru rowaiaru” is back to action. We a great rating of 8.0 with more than 20 thousand votes on IMDB. It was the first time I saw a movie with this kind of story, really good! After a few years a sequel came out that wasn’t so good as the first one. The only one I know from this movie is great Takeshi Kitano “Brother, Zatoichi”.
At the dawn of the new millennium, Japan is ina a state of near-collapse. Unemployment is at an all-time high, and violence amongst the nations youth is spiralling out of control. With school children boycotting their lessons and physically abusing their teachers, a beleaguered and near-defeated government decides to introduce a radical new measure: the Battle Royale Act Overseen by their former teacher, Kitano (’Beat’ Takeshi) and requiring that a randomly chosen school class be taken to a deserted island and forced to fight each other to the death, the Act dictates that only one pupil be allowed to survive the punishment. He or she will return, not as the victor, but as the ultimate proof of the lengths to which the government are prepared to go to curb the tide of juvenile disobedience.

hi guys, im relatively new to this scene, have no idea what to do with the files of subtitles. i love my asian films and pass up many because of this. in battle royale are the subs like hardcoded in already or i need to do it?? thanks, any tips/help very welcome. thanks again

for subtitles one option is getting a free program called VobSub..just google it to find it
Use BSPlayer to see the subtitles.

I would love to see this movie but I don’t know how to sync the video with the english sub title? Do I need another program to sync them together? If so can someone please tell me how can get this program?
just download VLC player and drag subs into the viewer. It will auto sync with no problems…
Did anyone else have any trouble burning this as data?
i had to ConvertXtoDVD it as the data burn for my DivX SAP wont get past 3%
it played fine in VLC and MPC but the second parts subs were way off sync on dvd
(Converted twice with ConvertXtoDVD and twice with DVDsanta)
have now downloaded a different set of subs and trying again with ConvertXtoDVD
