Battle For Haditha DVDRip XviD-BeStDivX

This movie is based, as the title suggests, on the Battle of Haditha which was was a tragic incident which led to a total of 63 deaths, and one injury. BeStDivX bring us this one with what is in my opinion a rather low res, but it is what you would expect from an average release. Standard MP3 audio and a pretty good score on IMDB.

EDIT: Battle.For.Haditha.PAL.DVDR-BeStDvD

An investigation of the massacre of 24 men, women and children in Haditha, Iraq allegedly shot by 4 U.S. Marines in retaliation for the death of a U.S. Marine killed by a roadside bomb. The movie follows the story of the Marines of Kilo Company, an Iraqi family, and the insurgents who plant the roadside bomb.

@7 - so what if it is ? You don’t want their image to go bad in your head or what? These new age marines are not that great to be honest nothing more than puppets following orders. Not to say they were raised that way but Bush, Cheney and that Rumsfield who went to war are bunch of douche-bags and no wonder there are over 4000 american casualties now and all the rich kids are still at homeland jerking off. go watch “Taxi.to.the.Dark.Side” and it might give u a small picture of what the hell is going on

    NOTE TO RLSLOG STAFF
I am making a suggestion that you change the wording of your movie description that reads…
“was a tragic incident which led to a total of 63 deaths, SO THIS MOVIE MIGHT BE WORTH A WATCH.” everyone knows that soldiers dieing in Iraq is not entertainment and I think that this statement was written without intent to insult those soldiers but it may be taken that way. I understand not all of those killed were soldiers but innocent civilians as well.

Watched this on TV the other day and I had to stop watching it. Completely over the top and totally one message - the marines are baddies who kill everything (including kids, women, all unarmed). Theres currently an investigation into what went on over there so to release this before those involved have been prosecuted or tried is very silly imo. Im also a soldier in the British Forces btw and if any of the lads I worked with reacted like that then they’d get smacked down by on of us, no questions. Watch if you want it, but take with a pinch of salt :)

So sad I can’t bring myself to watch anymore of the current crop of truth in Iraq movies because the violence on innocents becomes too harrowing to bear. This is worsened by the knowledge that people who should be watching these movies ie supporters of the US empire, won’t because they have been told to think that watching is “not supporting the troops” which they have also been told, is the equivalent of treason.
This is a far better Catch-22 than Joseph Heller’s original. That argued you can’t get out of fighting a war by saying you’re insane. Not wanting to get killed in a pointless war is an indication of sanity, therefore you can’t be insane.

This new Catch 22 holds that “Criticising a war where amerikan troops have died is treason since it means the deaths were in vain.” That in turn means any loony C in C can send amerikan troops anywhere, to do anything and it must be accepted as correct. Ranging from suppressing dissent to stealing a nation’s resources, as long as amerikan troops are injured and killed; for eternity everyone everywhere, must regard the original exploit as a glorious piece of amerikan history.
Meanwhile Iraqi men women and children who were quietly living their lives just as people in Iraq have lived for centuries, since long before amerika was a twinkle in every greedhead’s eye, must die in as great a number as necessary, just so the legend of amerikan exception remains intact.

A lot of people get offended by a lot of things. You can’t possibly appease all of them, so there’s no point censoring yourself. I’m an American too and I don’t find labeling a movie that you’ve posted yourself “worth a watch” offensive. Should you have said that it’s not worth a watch? That “A Soldier” person probably just didn’t like the movie and decided to go after you instead. It’s rather pathetic.

great movie. You felt sorry for both the Marines and the Iraqi’s. You feel sorry for the Marines as they’ve been put under huge pressure, and when they ask for help to cope with the mental anguish of their tour of duty, it’s not there. There’s no support for them in dealing with these issues. So when they see there fellow comrades being injured and killed, the reaction is to flip and act out in ways that are not the way of a professional solider. What happened then was a series of very unfortunate events, all triggered by the IED. What this movie points out, is that the real enemy doesn’t do the dirty work and uses iraqi’s as pawns in their game against the high command of the US Forces. This fuels the fire of the local iraqi’s as they get caught in the cross fire, where hit and run tactics are used against the US Forces, who then return by lashing out at anyone as they don’t know who attacked them.

It showed that the high command either doesn’t know the stresses and strains of the trooper on the ground, or doesn’t care. I believe it to be the latter i’m sad to say. We train our troops to be fighting killing machines, but do we really spend enough time on helping them with the strains of war in their mental well being?! If we help them to cope with the mental strain of war then we will have more rounded and grounded troops. This is not making them soft, but making them stronger in the times that it really counts.

I feel sorry for the guys that have been prosecuted for murder, as the real people that should be held accountable for this is the higher command as they should of been aware of how there troops were coping in the field.

I felt this movie highlights that and tries very hard not to be bias to either side.

Great film in the vein of Redadacted, but with better execution (hmm) Worth a watch regardless of any preconceptions of the Iraq conflict.

It shows the problems of putting highly trained front line combat troops into a situation where they are expected to act as an urban police force, and the horrific consequences.

Not an easy watch at times, this is not a movie you could call anti military, but certainly one you could call anti war.

Lol, I just watched this, I am an anti Iraq war hippy kind of guy. This was so one sided it hurt.

Half way through I was ready to comment on how they were facing a difficult situation and putting soldiers into a peacekeeping situation has problems for everyone, like Bosnia did.

But the film shows completely unrealistic situations like marines killing children and firing randomly at the ceiling for some reason. Basically this is a piece of propaganda for the left.

You will think my comment is stupid/planted until you get 60 minutes plus into the film. It’s kinda funny once they break the “third wall”

  36. March 20th, 2008 | 02:43

No more off topic… As I said before, take it somewhere else.

  37. Noir
    March 20th, 2008 | 02:46

Good film. Nick Broomfield films blow me away.

It’s not biased at all. Throughout, the Corporal who ordered and performed most of the atrocities was deeply confused and conflicted. From the scene where he holds out a hand for the hysterical wife of a now dead innocent Iraqi man to where he breaks down in tears because of the nightmares and guilt he’s experiencing, it’s never black and white.

Obviously the film is leaning towards the idea that murdering several families worth of innocent people is a very bad thing, but it allows for the fact that the soldiers’ state of mind was completely blown and there were a couple of misunderstandings and false assumptions that didn’t help.

    @Marceli

whats off topic, surely this film has a political agenda and people are allowed to discuss it. it is a fairly obtuse to think of this as just another pointless action like die hard or rambo.

  39. March 20th, 2008 | 02:58

Off topic is anything not relating to this release or its quality. you can talk about what happened in the movie all you want, but people talking about the US and others being in Iraq for too long and all that is off topic

    March 20th, 2008 | 03:18

@Marceli, certainly a reasonable comment about the reality that the movie portrays, the people central to the issue, and possible consequences is on topic. And why shouldn’t there be some discussion about the foregoing. If you cast a line, the fish will bite.

Watched this on Uk TV the other night, it was followed by a great documentary about the event. Have to say the film is pretty much spot on. They showed some interviews with marines involved in the incident, the killing of women and children did actually happen almost exactly as the film shows. The marines gave a false story initially but one of them broke his silence after several iraqi eye witnesses came forward. Great film.

  43. March 20th, 2008 | 03:52

and fish will die and get eaten and stop bothering me. i just wish some of you would do this. talking about wars and presidents, whose fault it is, how long theyve been there and all that is irrelevant to the release or movie itself. it might be alike what the movie portrays but it has nothing to do with it.

“When the nations on this planet fight for existence-when the question of destiny, ‘to be or not to be,’ cries out for a solution-then all considerations of humanitarianism or aesthetics crumble into nothingness; for all these concepts do not float about in the ether, they arise from man’s imagination and are bound up with man. When he departs from this world, these concepts are again dissolved into nothingness, for Nature does not know them. And even among mankind, they belong only to a few nations or rather races, and this in proportion as they emanate from the feeling of the nation or race in question. Humanitarianism and aesthetics would vanish even from a world inhabited by man if this world were to lose the races that have created and upheld these concepts.” - Lets all guess

“This is a real story, and the criminals are being punished.”

Everyone who’s gone to trial so far has been found to have committed no crime.

A lot of innocent people died, but that’s what happens in war, especially when insurgents use civilians as cover.

BTW, what you know about Haditha happened at the first of 3 insurgent ambushes which were conducted specifically to cause civilian casualties in the expected response and were planned to be filmed for propaganda purposes, as per information from cooperating insurgents picked up in the week following.

The Haditha killings were exactly what they intended to manufacture that day and did. And someone else is the criminal to blame ?

“Massacre of 24 civilians”? Well, AFAIK civilians don’t carry kalashnikovs. They also usually don’t plant bombs.

@58 plenty of Iraqis keep arms in the home (especially now)

Just like a lot of households in the U.S. have guns.
Would you plant bombs against ‘illegal’ occupiers in your country?
Or sit back and take it?

US Army kills a lot of Iraqi civilians including children and that’s a fact! Just watch the news(not Foxnews or something similar)! Its exactly what they did in Vietnam! They will loose this war! There is no doubt about it! Already their economy is down the drain!

Why does everyone think there is a agenda? the film is made by a british company, that has released alot of documentaries about controversial stories.

Just curious, what possible “agenda” could they have?

do you think al-qeada owns this company?

wake up, every single country has people that commit crimes, thats why people get murdered, raped, robbed every day. These marines were under alot of stress and just snapped.

and to the guy who sed the civilians deserved it, your sick.

I honestly love this movie, thank you for uploading it. I just wanna say I show great respect to our troops serving in Iraq and i also agree with Crankitup, the military are ran by poor leadership leader.

Thanks! Nice rip! It would be even better if you didn’t have to read the mindnumbing political agendas of some. Debating politics on the Internet is for F*ckwits and/or pimple-faced scene kiddies who live in their parents basement and masturbate to Desperate Housewives! LOL! :) Hold it? I masturbated to Desperate Housewives once… But that’s it damn it! Only once…
