Here we have another release of the Dark Knight, this one from mVs. Quite a few releases of this so far. I know mVs doesn’t like us here at rlslog, but I think they do great work. The Quality on this looks just like the rest, just minus the trailer from the beginning, and this isn’t over cropped at top and bottom.

Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker.

    97% of the time if its got the PROPER tag in the title then its the one to get ;) so yes this will be the best one to get out of the 3 thats up. optics has picture mssing from top and bottom and has trailers at the begining and the other one has the same probs but this mvs release has none of those problems hence the PROPER tag

    I don’t understand how scene groups or otherwise even manage to make bad dvd rips, with cropping errors etc. Someone needs to direct these kids to a one button program so they can get it correct on the first try lol.

    halfway downloading optics version now see proper come out checked the proof and its just cropped by a few milimeters does that make all the difference will we miss an integral part of the movie because of it? These nuke wars are just getting pathetic its like squabbling kids at school

    I travelled 300 miles to this movie in IMAX and man o man was it worth it. Anyone know if the aspect ratio switches in the dvdscreener like in the IMAX version?

    I saw this in theaters. And I won’t see it again until I buy the 2 disc special edition DVD when it gets released.

    This is the once-in-a-blue-moon movie that I won’t be pirating. Consider my future purchase of it “justice” for my 1000+ other pirated DVDs. : )

    Plus, I hate when screeners have timestamps & property of markings.

    quality from the sample:

    video: 7.5/10 blurry, a little worse than an r5/dvdrip video
    audio: 5/10, background “shhhhhhh” sound…

    imo you can watch this but if you want to archive it wait for an r5 line.

    Judging from the video samples, Optic definitely has better video and audio quality. Ya it may be a lil dark but you can adjust that from your monitor settings.

    The only reason you shouldnt be getting this is because you are waiting for the BluRay Rip…. and thats gonna be a while with a street date of Dec 15th….

    while I can’t comment on mVs rls quality, I downloaded and checked Optic’s XviD release and the DVDR from -TheBatman and the quality of the DVDR truely rocks. Too bad it doesn’t have AC3/DD 5.1 Sound, which would have made it even more awesome.

    This film deserves a better quality release.

    Most will grab this and watch. But do watch in the cinema. And it’s not to give your money to Warners. It’s because this film is an EVENT. That sample clip lost so much not being a cinema, if you know how everything leads into another.

    guys, the links RLSLOG provide are linkbuc ks links (including the video samples), -meaning they make money out of you downloading from their links so please just use the downloads provided by the guys in the comments below…
    The people that release this stuff in the first place dont appreciate others making money from their work which is meant to be given to u for free, and they all face stupidly long prison sentences for doing this for us, so please respect that and the scene by not using any pay-per click links like uplo.adjockey and make others aware of what the score is if you see anyone selling scene releases (in any way, either by charging for access to scene stuff, or by pulling stunts like RLSLOg does with uploadj.ockey ;)

    @95 Oh, believe me, it is not ripped from DVD. I am in serious recording industry and I can hear the microphones are working. Also look, the picture has got incorrect framerate. This and other factors would indicate a digital recording device was used. It is done the nice way, to fool you, but still remains a CAM.

    How can people say this is DVD quality? It may not be a CAM, but it has the dark look, blurry feel and overall low quality of something less than an R5
    I personally can’t stand dark video, and the dipstick who said you can change that on your monitor has dog muck for brains. It’s part of the copy where shadow sides of peoples faces and objects, rather than being ‘dark’ are simply black. If you turn up the lighting on your monitor, you get a white black. It’s crap. (All of the releases)

    Friggin hell, what a waste of downloading the devise ver, it hasn’t had IVTC done to it, I knew the picture seemed to not play smoothly. IVTC frames in it just have blurred, so we got a 30fps film with 6 extra frames.

    well, i can tell you i have the The.Dark.Knight.2008.READNFO.DVDSCREENER.DVDR-TheBatman. copy, and was not impressed by the picture quality, the horizontal lines of the image structure are very obvious, and when expanded to full screen on a 27″ monitor, they make the image look worse, i actually have the XviD proper version (mVs) and preferred that, which is a first for me when i have downloaded the full DVDR…. so i too am wondering if the mVs DVDR is any better,

    Generally speaking i find the x264 codec makes a better job than the XviD so i might try the noir version …. i want to burn this to DVD so would like the best copy i can get before starting the conversion, or get the full DVDR …. i just dont want to download 3 4gb versions to find out they are all basically hte same :P

    Can anyone tell me if movies ripped from Blueray that are here can be burned and will play on a standard DVD player. Also, When Blueray and HD are ripped…how are those files reduced to such small sizes that there will be no image quality loss. Would those rips be eqivilent to watching a standard DVD?

    Is there software now that will rip the same quality as Blueray and HD…then shrink…without significant image quality loss?

    Don’t think this has been mentioned yet, but this movie is NOT the same cut as the one that is being aired in the theaters. I’ve only noticed two scenes but I’m sure a lot of others have been slightly different.

    The first is when Joker starts clapping along with the police crew while he’s in jail. He is only shown clapping for about 2 seconds on this rip, in the theatrical release he was shown for at least 10 seconds. The other scene is when Batman is interrogating him. In the theatrical release Batman grabs a chair to jam the door so the officers can’t stop him. In this rip it is not shown at all and Joker just tells him the information without much of a hassle.

    A few notes on releases:
    PROPER version: Ok colour but annoying repeating mark & lower quality sound
    OPTIC version: Slightly darker but clear screen and better quality sound

    You be the judges on which version is better (I find the sound and mark more bothering than the coulour myself)…
    No trick or password whatsoever

    What a crap release, not only there is a watermark but the image quality is very poor, far from a real dvdscr, they try to fool you with the trailer at the beginning which is in very good quality, when the film begins you see the difference.
    Still waiting for a real PROPER DVDSCR.
