Group SSTV released this six chapters TV serie. SSTV says in the nfo “Technically this isnt a movie, but 6 short episodes all interlocked into 1 movie size plotline” so the six episodes are joined on one movie. One advice about this release for misleaded people, this isn’t the Batman movie, this is one anime style cartoon. If you like this type of series, enjoy it!

Anime-inspired direct-to-DVD anthology film. Comprised of six short stories, from diverse creators, including Academy Award-nominated Josh Olsen (A History of Violence), Batman Begins writer David S. Goyer, and comics scribe Brian Azzarello. It’s planned for a release window of two to four weeks prior to the release of The Dark Knight, and would bridge the gap between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

    This is NOT anime. It is “anime style”. The only thing this has in common with anime is the fact that both the things are ‘animated’. This style of drawing is called “Japanime”, the American version of ‘anime style’ animations.

    Don’t be tricked, this is soooo far from true anime, it’s an abomination!

    Kinda looks boring too. Comic books and super heroes are for kids, not intellectual adults.

    actually this is still a movie, and not a tv show, cuz it hasn’t aired on tv ;)

    seen it 3 days ago and it’s good if you like anime or batman, but as a huge batman fan i was a little bit disapointed, i expected it to be more, and more than just a fanboy movie. I wouldn’t recommend it to people that doesn’t like batman or anime… if you like one of them, DOWNLOAD THIS RIGHT NOW and BUY IT WHEN IT’S OUT IN A WEEK!!

    Funny you should say that, as the chapters are actually animated by some well known Japanese animation studios such as Madhouse and Production I.G. – sure the script and whatnot is written in English, but overall, it’s hardly what I would call what I would call an “abomination.”

    Not bad, a bit hit and miss (just like the animatrix)
    First story reminds me of an episode of BTAS: where the kids talk about batman from the 50’s and DKR. Second was a bit ehh but better, 3rd story about wayne developing technology was good, 4th was so-so, kinda related to 2nd story. And stories 5 and 6 were okay.

    Will need to watch again to decide if this is worth the budget purchase.

    REVIEW:
    This movie was just “OK”. I think the decision to make the tale of Batman Dark Knight 5/6 short episodic stories was completely wrong as each hand everyone failed to really round up its plot and left it half-baked..moreover the style would have worked better if they complemented each other before finally rounding up at the last episode.

    I really liked the different choice of animation from japanese anime style to western and also the comical style with a lot of chiaroscuro patterns. You could say that was some sort of fan service from DC.
    In all it was not bad nor was it good…the best episode was “working through pain”

    Do i recommend it, well not really except you absolutely need to see all things the Gotham vigilante has to offer..so unless you have nothing else to watch, then you should give it a shot.

    thanks for the up.

    Just watched its a collections of short stories, most are ok…
    drawing style is mostly pretty lame and stories alright.
    Expected a better darker story telling but no pretty main stream stream stuff.

    This *is* anime, in the way that it was animated by some of the top studios in Japan. Visually it’s gorgeous, btw.

    They had the original english actors do the voices for some of the parts too– so it’s kind of a “”bridge”".
