Batman Arkham Asylum D2D READNFO-P2P

Here comes well known and expected Batman Arkham Asylum. It’s p2p release and it’s D2D copy (download copy from Direct2Drive service). Well, game and crack seems to be working, BUT there is known issues with glide in game (not working as it should). At least you can get your self image and later when scene release is out, just apply their crack only over it and you’re good to go.

    I have a savegame where I played past the cutscene where the game crashes without physx and it works without fine with physx after that. But I havent played long. I will play a while and report back.

    I played for about 15 minutes now and it crashed again. But not during a cutscene. I noticed that the game hangs for about a second ever 3 or 4 minutes. after 4 of thoes lags it crashes. The fourth lag just happens to be at the cutscene. To me it almost seems like theres a memory overflow.

    I've been playing all day and im stuck on scarecrow part after Arkham Mansion, It lont let me grapple a ledge for some reason. I checked a guide and it says you have to grapple the ledge with 2 cogs next to it but it just doesnt let me, tried everything, anyone got a solution or having the same problem?

    I reinstalled the game and copied the fixed crack in the install dir. I didn`t activate physx. You can play without the game crashing if you don`t have physx activated.

    I will try 250 now.

    Its does not seem to be a problem with just the cracks, it seems like it is a unfinished version of the game (no physics, missing files, the exe looking for data in the files that is not there) dont these D2D games get activated on the release day giving you the small files that are missing for use? or it could just be a early version of the game that still has bugs.

    Heh, a non-scene pre-premiere release of a D2D version and you people are surprised it does not work as it should? I'm almost sure it's a RC, but not polished, and possibly has missing files/code elements.

    @all people who can`t even start the game

    This maybe useful it`s from the eidos support:

    A small number of users may experience a crash on start-up when
    attempting to initialise the .NET framework for the Launcher application.
    The Launcher application is required to customise your settings and has
    to run before the game can be played.

    As a work around, please copy the Eidos folder into your Documents
    folder ("My Documents" in Windows XP). These contain some default
    settings so the game can run.

    However, the Launcher application still won't run and you may need to
    tweak your settings for the best performance. To do so, edit the
    Documents\Eidos\Batman Arkham Asylum\BmGame\Config\UserEngine.ini file.
    The most significant performance improvement will come from reducing
    the resolution (the ResX and ResY settings).

    We hope to fix this issue in a Title Update. In the meantime, we
    apologise for the inconvenience.

    From Batman Demo, copy APEX_Destructible.dll and APEX_release.dll to retail install directory overwriting the ones in there or rename them for safe backup., and then you will have PhysX

    Looks like the guys at MUF are gonna enjoy this b4 u all. Even if the scene came out with a release this one is just like the retail, just repacked for D2D which is why I made an ISO for it. megauploadforum.net will have it in about 8-9hrs tops (unless I fall asleep for some reason then It'll be up bright and early.) I've been playing it for some hours now, got 4 achievements would have more but I'm just tryin to beat the game first b4 I go on an earning rampage. The screens above in #260 are mine BTW. Again I got everything maxed out except ambient Occlusion which is a 3d feature I don't need (3d glasses nvidia 3d vision, yada yada) and again physX works perfect even have it in sli (9800gtx + 8100/720a mobo hybrid sli) worx liek a charm. Hope you guys figure out the issue, I'm gonna go play now cuz it looks like I'll be havin a lot more fun than u guys.

    Lol, there will always be the oddballs who can't get a game working regardless of how many other people experience no issues. Typically, it's always caused by something stupid ie. Trying to use PhysX with an ATi card.

    Works Perfect for me, im using windows 7 and have been playing it for about 4 hours without a single problem, i used the crackfix to begin with and i didnt touch any settings with physx or anything, befor i installed the game i installed the direct x that came with it, maybe thats what the prob is with you all

    its gotta be the crack. I got a little further in the game when I close the small startup window that the crack has running in the background while the game starts up. The game won't save when you do that, as if you are using the first crack. I think the game is fine its just the crack is making the game unstable.

    I've got some grappling problems, anyone else stuck in the batcave? I've removed the covering from the sewer entrance, but can't seem to be able to grapple it. The problems with this copy seem to be very specific, grappling for example seems to have some problems with the "hot-zones" for grappling.

    Some files are obviously missing, i'm currently at the medical center and the "med_A_physX" package is missing which causes the game to crash. i think PhysX can still be enabled in the first levels where it was effectively implemented.

    Yeah, I'm having the same problem. Just got there and nothing. If you turn to left you can see it shows where you can grapple (some absolutely random place). If you try to go there you fall down and it tells you to save yourself (F).
    So, yea I'm stuck at this point as well :) .

    It's been pretty much confirmed that this release does not have a fix for "Scarecrow's Dream #2" where you will get stuck with nowhere to go because it is impossible to target the ledge that you need to grapple to in order to continue. Instead it targets some random spot on the wall that won't let you grapple to.

    Oh well…

    Sorry for this spam, but a bit more info. I tried again and I went too close. What happened? It didn't work. So, in the batcave I had to stand as close to this "crack" (running through the rock) as possible to get it working again.

    So I went past thru the part where you can't grabble to get into the mansion (I flew from the second roof) and after about 10 minutes after you drop down the chandelier you're supposed to enter another fight with Scarecrow. PROBLEM IS when you're supposed to get out and everything starts going creepy- it doesn't. If anyone got past the Library Level and fought Scarecrow again pls tell me so I can uninstall and wait for a proper Scene rls.

    So it does work past the second scare crow? :( It just quit on me. It won't let me grapple onto the mansion either. I'm using the last crack that I downloaded from the link RlsLog provided. That's why I don't like those kinds of releases… I guess I'll wait for a scene rls and then use the save file.

    Don't use the launcher from the demo to fix Physx, it causes the game to crash in the first cutscene inside the hospital (what MK reported).

    The game works with the crash provided but physx is disabled (no smoke, no particles, etc…)

    If anyone finds a new crack please post it.

    303- Cris, I have tried it with physx disabled and not altering any files other than using the crack. It still crashes in the first cutscene. I'm just waiting for a better crack, hopefully razor1911 will come up with something soon.

    @305 Gitz,

    I used 2 modded files initially (the crack given in the description + a launcher that is supposed to enable physx) and it crashed on that cutscene, then I just restored that launcher and left the crack given in the description, that fixed it for me.

    I hope somebody will fix this soon, this game is very good and can't wait to play it with physx enabled.

    The game works perfectly without the phisx fix file from the demo, otherwise if is not working for you you must have latest video drivers or the glide+save fix crack. or wait to proper release in sep 15.

    Downloaded everything and attempted to run the setup file…but it says I don't have enough disk space.

    now i have 9+ GB free on all drives, but just barely on a few, so how would i direct it to install somewhere else?

    or could someone state EXACTLY how many GB i need to have free?

    You could use 7zip to extract the data files to another drive. With that you will get the main installer for the game (arround 8GB) which should run from any of your hdds and allow to set destination drive & directory

    I'm stuck at Scarecrow dream #2… Grappling doesn't work on one of the ledges, Hopefully the crackers know about this bug.

    I used the crack updated here on rlslog and only have these problems sometimes. If u are stuck because grappling does not work, restarting the game sometimes helps. I got past every problem posted here this way. Currently i'm ingame on my way to the botanic gardens after dealing with Harvey.

    The game looks great. It`s ok to play. But its not a revolution in any way. Just some catchy arcade action. If you read some of the reviews you get the impression that this game will make love to you, clean your house and tuck you in at night. It wont.

    pc gaming will never die. stop being a cry baby. do u see nvidia and ati packing up and stopping making graphics cards. no. so there will always have to be software or games to show the hardware off. fair enough i havent had a good first person shooter for a while. console porting is a horrible thing. but for a game like this its accepted

    I got stuck with the Crack rlslog is offering, in botanic gardens, after the room with the electric floor. And after the room where u can´t grapple. You have an air duct but you cant grapple on it, it is the only way out, so you are basically stuck there.

    I play the game with everything on max except Physx, on my HP laptop with a ATI 2600 mobility.

    And yes restart the game, if it still doesn't work restart again. I really don't know why it works sometimes and sometimes not.

    of those who crashes during into.
    I found a solution that works 100%
    basically you just have to sign in as a new account in windows xp or 7 (not in game)
    then copy the "Eidos" folder to the new account's "my document"
    then it will work!
    i assume it happens to all user who change their "My Documents" directory to another drive.
    havent figure out easier way yet. but if youre desperate to play the game, you can try this.

    Thanks – for now this seems to work with PhysX on.

    But i'm kinda stuck at the mission to find Dr. Youngs office. I'm in a room with 2 cells and a vent high above in the ceiling but i cant grapple up there.

    I know you have to be able to grapple on as i've gone through a couple of guides and here is an image

    MY game just crashes every 5 minutes no matter where I am at. So basically I can make it to one checkpoint save and then it crashes but then works fine again for 5 minutes and then crashes again so I just gave up and I will wait for a better crack

    The game still have issues.
    I played the demo with the same settings i'm playing now and even with all the cracks and fixes i saw here there are still some issues:

    1. FPS reduction with no reasonable cause (at some random point the game is running perfectly and suddenly fps drop to a stupid level and then return again to base level (with or without physx enable and despite many resolutions and options.

    2. I've played the game with all the possible options in Max setting (even AA 16xq, 1920-1080, and Amb Oc on) and it ran smoothly in the demo. Now it happens what i wrote in the first point. So I'm completely sure that with the cracks available at the moment no one is playing the game as it should be played (or could, at least).

    3. If you have AO off, AA off, resolution low, no physx and settings in medium maybe that's why it's working for you.
    With everything really maxed out i can assure to anyone it's not possible yet (with my PC i play Crysis with 4X AA and 1920-1080 and settings in ultra high and i had 30 fps, and no drops like this.

    4. Buy the game and/or wait for a proper crack. Don't reach download limit or waste time if you're going to any of both.

    Did anyone did get past the flooded floor level? Where you have to get up a to this vent? Grapple doesn´t work for me there.
