Thanks for this post, all the others, and all the trouble of maintaining a cool site like this one. I suspect that’s a lot of work, and little recognition.

Now I’m gonna say something about Bangkok Dangerous and it’s this, really short:
Niccoló Coppola (Nicholas Cage, if you prefer…) carries this flix, as he should, there’s a fine actor for you, a guy can carry the weight of the world on his soulders if he chooses to do so and knows how to.

Another note: Those chinese (or taiwanese ? or whomever ?) are really doing a good job, this compared to the mainstream industry of flix’s. From Wong Kar Wai to the brothers Pang, Hollywood you need to learn something, or perish. (brothers Coen and old Clint Eastwood excluded, they’ve already learned and are doing a wonderful job).

No wonder everything else (the economy, stupids!) is also going that way.

But I’m biased here: I might as well be related to the Coppola family, because if I were to be stranded in a desert island ( something that doesn’t exist anymore, by the way), I would take Rumble Fish, Birdie, Leaving Las Vegas, One from the Heart and Under the Volcano (ok, I love John Huston as well…) and then I would happily starve… and I’m not even an american, nor is english my mother language or whatever.

Final note, too late, sorry: you youngsters I love you guys but please go to the next post, ‘cos I don’t really expect you guys to have a a clue of what I’m talking about, and I don’t put the blame (Wats dat ?) in anybody but me, too self-centered, I’m afraid.

I never hear or see the ads. Use Adblock Plus (www.adblockplus.org) plugin for FireFox or IE7pro (www.ie7pro.com) for Internet Explorer. Don’t know what the other browsers use to block ads but those two seem to do a great job in filtering out most annoyances. You can even add your own custom ad block filters to those programs as well.
