banged up abroad? Locked Up Abroad is a better and accurate name. None of these people except the Chechnya episode had anyone having sex.

They had to change the name to ‘locked up’ because of the ignorant Americans not fully understanding english grammar.

Redundant comments, is the show any good?

  23. August 14th, 2008 | 04:01

The show is actually decent. Since it is the same as the US version of Locked up, I have seen it once or twice, it was interesting because they interview the person arrested and he/she talks about the whole thing. It wasn’t bad.

“Banged up” is a juvenile term. It’s like many British terms that try and sound cool or “Lingo-ish”
Banged up, why, because the door bangs when you close it?
    Thats soooo witty.

Locked up (and the key thrown away) that is proper English.

The British had English first, and it was good.
Then the Americans came along and took a old, run down klunker of a language and we improved it.
Like using the correct spelling and sounds. Like “Garage” being pronounced like the French word it is. Not “Gair-ij”

Ever heard a British person say the word ‘Saw’? They cannot help but add an ‘R’ on the end for no apparent reason.
Grab a Brit that happens to be lying around the house, and ask it to say “I saw it coming”
    Pure comedy

@ 28 you George Bush loving, ignorant American. Instead of perstering us all, why dont you go and learn some geography and try and understand that there are other countries in the world besides the USA.

I was wondering about that. They post here saying they are better, and they don’t have anything. Sad stuff, really.

And, yeah this show is pretty good. Not the best, but up there.

    @veganjustice

There is no BBC 5 TV channel.. BBC 5 is usually refers to BBC Radio Five Live which broadcasts mostly sport.

We have Five terrestrial channels, those being, BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV (3), Channel 4 (referred to as four) and Channel 5 (referred to as five). The latter three are totally independant from the BBC (and from each other) and paid for via advertising.

This show was broadcast on Channel 5, maybe you could have followed your own advice. “Hahaha, idiot. yes, check the damn wiki page.”

So anyway, you are ignorant in regards to English television. Not that I hold that against you, I am ignorant to the TV stations of whatever sh1tty Eastern European hole of a backwater country you come from.

You do come across as an arrogant pr1ck though, I hold that against you. Also your a strike breaking scab lmao.
