Another TV pack from me and another HBO show, its the “Band of Brothers” 10 episode mini series. I guess the HBO slogan “It’s Not TV. It’s HBO.” is pretty accurate since so many of their show tend to stand apart from normal TV shows. Band of Brothers is a 10 part World War II miniseries based on the book of the same title written by historian and biographer Stephen Ambrose. Band of Brothers was produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks after their successful filming of the Academy Award winning World War II film Saving Private Ryan. Band of Brothers tells the story of how men are trained for combat, how they fight their battles, and are in turn affected by them. We learn some aspects of their personalities and background, but these are secondary to the grim reality of their shared journey of courage and pain. Band of Brothers is the most expensive television miniseries ever made by HBO or any other television network.The budget was approximately $125 million, which comes to an average of $12.5 million per episode and an additional $15 million was allocated towards the promotional campaign. The series was nominated for 19 Emmy Awards and won 6.

This 10-part HBO television miniseries focuses on Easy Company, a group of American soldiers in World War II, tracking their experiences from the beginning of boot camp to the end of the war. Anchored by actors Damian Lewis and Ron Livingston, the series gives detailed attention to their experiences as a group, as well as the way that each of them develops individually

    Best mini series ever, and remember, this is all based on fact, that's why each episode has the surviving soldier talking about certain aspects of it, as it's how it all really happened.

    Must watch! I actually have this pack already, and own the dvd boxset. Not to trash on this release, but get the HighDef ones, you won't be sorry

    Indeed, one of the best mini-series EVER! This is TV perfection! It has the characters that we can love and hate, the drama and action (WWII, hello?) and the totally surprise ending! (j/k) First time I ever saw Damian Lewis. Great actor :)

    I also have the HD pack.

    How can anyone watch this show in standard definition and be satisfied?

    No-one can argue that "Band of Brothers" isn't a good series. It's an amazing telling of a WW2 story, from start to finish, building up great characters, showing greats bits of raw action while at the same time appealing emotionally to a variety of different aspects of a soldiers life and death in times of war.

    If you're one of the few people who haven't seen it yet (personally seen this series twice and I'm still tempted to download this pack to watch again), stop wasting time and do it! You wont regret a minute of it.

    Definitely one of the best TV shows I've ever seen. Great acting, very believable action, and the story and characters really get to you. I would recommend high-def releases (720 or 1080) though! Oh and I saw Damian Lewis in London few weeks ago :D

    You are wrong – the movie is based on a old tv miniseries from the 1950s or 1960s (i dunno remember the exact year).

    The remake is fas better than the orginal and for me the propaganda is not relevant because its a film about men and
    war. I am a muslim and even I like "Band of brothers"…its even
    better than "Saving Private Ryan" from Steven Spielberg……it has better characters, better narrative elements and very strong
    emotional style.

    One of the best TV Miniseries of all time!

    Ignore the stupid trolls trying to incite something, they're not worth the attention and have meaningless lives. As for the show, it's one of the best miniseries ever, a must-watch even if you don't like war, it has a superb method of story telling and so many of the characters are very well acted.
