    This is about par with EA’s crappy Madden console to PC ports.

    But seriously, the “Backyard” franchise has been around for awhile making great low budget kids sports games and guess what… they are fun! I’ve played a few of the other “Backyard” games with my nieces and nephews and they enjoyed it.

    @dos (#6)

    Though the more accurate name for all would be “American Football” … but since the VIDEO GAME’s actual title is “Backyard Football”, I think they’ll list it under the release’s name, not what they think the sport should be called.

    @VoV

    i agree - its ridiculous that americans call the game football when its mostly played by hand and only has the punt, and the field goal played by foot … and they call the european game soccer instead of football and it’s played with ——- wait for it….. wait for it…. FEET!!!

    @7

    Or…. you and your country could do what the rest of the world has done and start calling YOUR football soccer.

    @16 erazare

    As far as I know americans are the only ones who call it soccer, almost the rest of the world call it football.
    I wonder what were people thinking when they called football a sport that is played mostly by hands.

    I did a little study and found this from several games of NFL’s week 11.

    % Total plays: 100
    % Plays using hands: 84.06
    % Plays using feet: 15.94

    I think I’ll make a more elaborated and deeper analysis for my Statistics Course @ College.

    From this little research you can see it’s definitely wrong to call this Football
