Avril Lavigne-The Best Damn Thing-2007-SAW
The long avaited The Best Damn Thing is here. The latest album from extra popular Avril Lavigne will be officially launched next Monday, but you can get it right now from the scene. Release group SAW seems to build quitea reputation, releasing many major albums lately and replacing loved RNS. I’m definitely getting this album not because of some love to Avril, but I just want to hear how does it sound. It won’t certainly be “The Best Damn Thing,” but I think she can do some decent music.
The Best Damn Thing is the third album by pop rock singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne and is currently scheduled to be released in April, 2007. The album is said to be less mellow than previous Lavigne albums, and more upbeat. Lavigne described the record as: “fast, fun, young, bratty, aggressive, confident, cocky in a playful way…all the good stuff.”
Avril Lavigne has been doing a small tour to promote The Best Damn Thing. To go to one of the few shows you had to be a member of her fan club. She kicked off this small tour in Calgary, Alberta, and played for a crowd of around 200. The Calgary show will air on television on April 2nd 2007, on the CBC Network. On this show you will be able to see behind the scenes and Avril preforming songs off The Best Damn Thing. On March 18th 2007, Avril (and her band) showcased some her songs on the UK radio station Radio 1. She was interviewed about her recent marriage to Deryck Whibley and also about her 3rd studio album, The Best Damn Thing. Soon after she played 3 songs; “Girlfriend”, “Sk8er Boi” and an unreleased track from her upcoming album named “I Can Do Better”. These songs were played live among around 30 fans and were broadcast all over the UK and also became available to be listened to worldwide. Fans from North America in particular tuned in via Sirius Satellite Radio to hear Avril play live in London.
Avril Ramona Lavigne born September 27, 1984, in Belleville, Ontario, Canada is a Canadian rock singer and musician. Avril Lavigne is featured in Maxim magazine’s Girls of Maxim gallery. In 2006, she was included in Canadian Business Magazine’s ranking of the most powerful Canadians in Hollywood, in seventh position. She has sold over 26 million albums worldwide.

I don’t consider myself as an Avril Lavigne fan, but I think she does some nice music from time to time and I’m gonna give this album a try for the same reason as you.

Oh please. She came out as a “punk skater chick” which didn’t work so now’s shes trying to appeal to everyone. I will give her this much, she’s pretty damn talented, it’s not hard to see she actually had a part in writing most if not all of her songs, which is more than most “bands” today can claim.
But one of the most powerful Canadians in hollywood? Ok maybe if you ignore the fact that most writers are canadian, most shows have alteast 1 canadian in them, and every damn funny blockbuster movie in the past 10 years was starring a Canadian.

ranna the release that came out a couple weeks back was the clean edit version, no swearing. that release from my knowlodge wasnt sceane as well. ne way this is a good cd, her style of music is differnt than past albums. To support avril i will be purchasing this when it dose come out, and i ussualy only get 1-2 cds a year
