   The Keymaker does not necessarily have a virus just because it is reported to. Most AntiVirus software will report them where they do not exist as they DO contain code that generates other code (serial numbers) and AntiVirus software considers this a POTENTIAL threat. I believe it can also occur because most KeyMakers are written in either ASM or C++ both of which are favoured by Virus Makers and so get “caught” by your AV software.

   As to whether there IS a virus present, it is almost impossible to tell for sure, but if you run it and THEN your AV software detects an unauthorised action THEN it is infected. If you run it and your AV software doesnt object then it is probably clean.

   A possible conspiracy by AV manufacturers to prevent anyone making a KeyMaker? Or perhaps to convince people that we HAVE to buy THEIR latest Av software?

    Yeah, most AV software calls keygenerators a virus but it is just because they use the same type of code or something like that, not because they actually are a virus, as long as all your AV is warning you about is the keygen file then you have nothing to worry about when using keygens from these known scene releasers, they have a proven history of good results.
