Releaselog

AuTo.RLSLOG.net – scene releases directly from preDB

I would like to quickly introduce one new project running under the RLSLOG header: AuTo.RLSLOG.net. This simple application works as a pre database so it lists new releases pred by the warez scene. There is currently about 10 000 releases from different categories. The idea was to automate the process of adding information about new releases, which has been succeeded by adding 10 links to every release listed on that project.

The links are generated from Google and Yahoo search engines with the aim to be as related to the release as possible and they often include videos or trailers as well. The script also searches for images related to the release. Of course, you have the possibility to use the search function and RSS feed. As it’s a fairly new project, I just wanted to keep the design very simple and I plan to implement more features in the future. Give it a look and feel free to suggest any ideas in comments if you can think of something.

P.S. For those of you, who complained about the speaking ads here on RLSLOG: we are in the process of removing this crap from the site but the ad agency handling the advertisements is kinda slow in responses. If they don’t take it down tomorrow, I will remove them completely from the site.

Feel free to post your AuTo.RLSLOG.net – scene releases directly from preDB torrent, subtitles, samples, free download, quality, NFO, rapidshare, megashares, sendspace, megaupload, filefactory, netload, crack, serial, keygen, requirements or whatever-related comments here. Don't be rude (permban), use only English, don't go offtopic and read FAQ before asking a question. Owners of this website aren't responsible for content of comments.

I like the idea and the initial plan seems fine.but i think what would make it better is if one youfind something you like that the google/yahoo search just sho certain site that you can download from,if it be torrent or host sites that have the links.

i done a test and it was for David.Copperfield.Teil1.German.1999.DVDRiP.XViD-OMP and the main things that come up were for imdb or dvd sales.i hope that over time the top list at search will show more torrent/host sites where the links can be found.

good idea just a view from me there martin.

Maybe you should think about affil with a site that provides the download links if they could keep up with whats pred that is and with so much pre these days i dont think they could, but fxp crews could help out with that for you i would think.if they wished too that is since they still like underground.

overall it looks like any prebase only diff is you liked them too search engine.

    still good idea

TVzzz: my aim was to have mostly links to download / torrent sites but there are 2 problems:

    1) the variety in release name – they are very different from each other so it’s quite complicated to strip the actual release name.

    2) the newness of releases – the script searches for links at the time when it’s pred and this means that in 99% cases, there are no torrents / links yet

tried to reply martin but post not show up.
yeah i see what you saying and as i said hopefully over time since pre stuff is on torrent pretty fast the torrent sites will show up first.

maybe since you guys upload a fair bit of stuff yourselves that you could also work the script to direct too you own uploads,i imagine your staff cant keep up with everything but why not make the script work on your own site
example would be say…gears of war 2..when the link is copied or clicked from the autosite it will direct auto back too rlslog posts.
this provides ppl with the info plus hits back to your site and hits too your staffs uploads ..what ya think ?

At least change your predb so it lists releases when they are pred. The one you use now is on average listing released 3 hours 7mins after they have been pre’d. Hint, even some public predb list releases in real time.

i just have afew quick suggestions…

    1. what about an english only option to filter out all the crap foreign language rlses. they vastly outnumber the amount of english rlses and just make it impossible to use this thing without wading through 5 foreign rlses for each english rls.

    2. how about timecoding each rls so you know where one day ends and another begins or at least how long ago something was pre’d.

    3. who cares about the links etc. if youre too stupid to find info on rlses and download locations for them yourself then you probably shouldnt be getting them in the first place.

  19. TCzzz
    November 2nd, 2008 | 00:25

yeah time of release is a good idea.as for the links etc well the point too that would be not if the person stupid or not more the fact it will keep the person closer to rlslog,if the opportunity there to direct the person back too rlslog then why not.
you can find predb anywhere but lets say you use rlslog one you find a new release then go off searching your bookmarks for the links…thats it your gone you out the rlslog system.so for better use and for ease of use for the person why not have the whole set up as one system.

there are always new ppl to warez i dont see the point in leaving them to struggle to find stuff when you can provide everything they need in one place.
it dont hurt to even help what you might call the stupid someday that good karma could come back too you for another reason..
see what ya saying but again just giving my view

Regarding the speaking ads, just use FireFox and the Adblock Plus extension and they’re gone. Haven’t heard them in months.

Best way to block ads is
Get firefox, then install Adblock plus add-on
For the wii ads on this site, you need to block
    http://content.yieldmanager.edgesuite.net
    and
    adbrite.com
Manually and they all go away, horah!!!

As for this AuTo.RLSLOG.net site, it seems cool. but too many pop-ups wrapped in it and I would like to see RS link based sites on the links search.

    I kinda don’t get it.
Why there are different releases on http://www.rlslog.net/ and on http://auto.rlslog.net/? There are 6 new releases since yesterday in www and only one in auto and it is not even one of those. Just figured out that all releases are different in auto and most of them are not listed at all in www and vice versa.

I would just like to see articles on this site NOT contain GLARING spelling and grammar errors. It just gives the feel of laziness or carelessness. The result is a less than professional feel and readers like myself, do not take what we read here seriously.
So I guess you lose credibility.

PS. Copy/Pasting from another website does not help your case either.

What i think would be cool is a member section so you can subscrive to the areas of the rls that you want. For instance i like hdrip, applications and tv shows. that way i could have a decent rss feed with what i want!

  42. al3x
    November 2nd, 2008 | 21:06

i really would like to see additional infos on the predb like

    - the time the release appeared
    - the section it was posted, e.g. “TV” or “x264″
    - nuke/unnuke infos

  43. CATEGORY VIEWS DONT WORK
    November 2nd, 2008 | 21:09

I dont know if youve noticed, but: CATEGORY VIEWS DONT WORK! All releases added after the 29th of october ARE NOT DISPLAYED IF YOU CHOOSE TO VIEW RELEASES OF A CERTAIN CATEGORY!!!

    PLEASE FIX THAT!!!

I’ve always used those, and they work well. Have you tried Mike’s Ad Blocking Hosts file? i find it picks up where those leave off.
