Here’s a limited film coming from very well known scene group SAPHiRE. Chop Shop is about life in Queens and a boy who fights for a better life. Not a major crowd pleaser, but hopefully some of you who like smaller (limited) films will enjoy this one. This film has gotten some smaller awards and was screened at some of the top Film festivals in the world: Cannes, Toronto and Berlin. Enjoy.

Quality:  This release looks very good. Video quality is top notch, very crisp and clear as can be expected from a group like SAPHiRE.

Alejandro, a tough and ambitious Latino street orphan on the verge of adolescence, lives and works in an auto-body repair shop in a sprawling junkyard on the outskirts of Queens, New York. Its been a while since we’ve had a release from UNiVERSAL, but its good to see a new release from them since they’ve always delivered R5’s and DVDScreeners early on. This is a film I had (unsurprisingly) never heard of. Its a low budget Horror movie which was presented in High Definition 3D in cinemas, which is why UNiVERSAL have tagged it “2D”. This seems like a flick which could be worth going to see in the cinema due to the 3D experience, but the reviews are not too great. Then again reviews are rarely great for horror movies, so if you enjoy the genre, give this a download. Read more about the 3D aspect of this film on their website.

Quality [PLEASE READ]: The UNiVERSAL NFO says that the audio is in english, but there is in fact RUSSIAN audio ON TOP of the english one, so this will get nuked. Since this is an R5 and this film is shown in a very specific format in certain cinemas, LINE audio may have been impossible to get a hold of and CAM audio difficult as well. Zack Ford’s script follows Bettis’ character Joan Burrows who returns home for her niece Olympia’s high school graduation only to be confronted with her nightmarish past: at the age of 16, Joan and her best friend were kidnapped and extensively tortured by a serial killer named Ernie Parish. Joan managed to escape and kill her captor, but it appears as though he has somehow come back from the dead, intent on continuing his macabre and deeply disturbing proclivities.

It’s been a few episodes since I posted about the best show about metal in the world. Season 2 of Metalocalypse is raging on and Dethklok are as amusing as ever. It’s either SYS or aAF who provide this show (mostly aAF) but this week aAF were the first to pre. Unfortunately this arrived pretty late on the scene. It aired on the 6th, but now its here for all to enjoy.

The band is fed up with Ofdensen knowing more than they do. They want their fifth of everything and decide to hire an efficiency expert to tighten up matters at Mordhaus and maximize their weekly allowance.

Well, I thought one of the TV editors was on this, but I’ll be taking this weeks Top Gear episode. It took a long time for a scene release to appear of last weeks episode, but not this time around. ANGELiC are the ones behind this weeks rip. Top Gear has been growing at an insane rate since the last couple of seasons. Enjoy this weeks episode.

After quite a bit of chaos regarding the CAMs of Hancock, we finally get what looks like a really nice TS from PreVail. This has english line audio finally. The concept of this film is really interesting. If you had super powers, would you be arsed to constantly save the people around you, or would you have a more relaxed attitude? Tough question right there. In any case, enjoy the film.

Quality: This is a NTSC silver, which is why the video looks kind of “hacky” (due to dupe frames). Apart from that the video looks pretty decent and audio is PreVails own line audio which sounds very good.

After yesterdays release of Insanitarium, BeStDivX are back with another DVDRip for you. This time its a strange mix of Adventure, Comedy and Thriller. Sounds pretty interesting to me and the production values look decent. The plot seems a bit odd and the ratings are pretty low, but its a good rip from a well respected scene group.

Quality: Scene DVDRip by BeStDivX. Need I say more? Very good quality.

Well, I didn’t know what else to call this, so I went with something which sounds like its straight out of a game show or something. Since a lot of rather unknown DVDRips were released today (today depending on which timezone you’re in), it’s a lot easier to throw them all together into one post, so here we go.

Movies and Tango? Somehow this reminds me of Jennifer Lopez and Richard Gere. Not sure if thats a good thing or not. In any case, VoMiT bring the low budget films like usual. The genre on IMDB says this is a Thriller, but the synopsis clearly states it as a comedy/drama, so I suppose you can expect a bit from every angle.

A dark comedy / drama of a womans decent into maddness by love. Family and loved ones try to save her but but are sucked into the maddness with her. Greek tragedy mixed with farce tells this tale of passion love and lust.

Valentina’s (Guillermina Quiriga) precarious mental state hangs in the balance as this film about love and obsession unfolds. The unfortunate Valentina finds some relief by dancing the tango, but her delusional mindset threatens to engulf her as she becomes dangerously fixated on her husband.

Here’s something in a completely different tone from the film above. Its Christian Comedy, which sounds like hell to me. Its a tour with several different standup comedians in the USA. The description of the film just makes it seem like a nightmare, but the guy who’s workin’ the sample pulls a pretty decent joke about a tornado. Everyone needs a bit of standup comedy every once in a while. If you want some truly funny stuff, I recommend getting stuff like Bill Bailey, Dylan Moran, Eddie Izzard and so on, but then again I’m a sucker for British comedy. Enjoy.

DOMiNO release of this film (Planted Evidence 2008 STV DVDRip XviD-DOMiNO) was nuked for unneeded ivtc, so here is a proper from VoMiT. All in all this seems to be a horrible film. It was described as “Brainless” by a reviewer on IMDB and has a 3.3 rating. Needless to say I don’t think many people will be getting this one, but do watch the trailer, its pretty hilarious.

Six partners of a firm discover the dead body of an associate the morning after their weekly card game. Panicked and with no clue as to who could have committed the murder, they decide to bury the body in order to keep the secret between them and ensuring that nobody will have to take the fall.
