Comedy and Romance? I wonder why those two genres have been combined to form the ultimate chick flicks “Romantic Comedies”? First of all, let me establish one thing. I appreciate the work that all scene groups do. Even the groups that are less experienced than others; even those that get every second release nuked. If a group does their best to adhere to scene rules and keeps putting out releases, then to me they deserve respect, whether they get nuked or not. Its when a group knowingly breaks a major scene rule and still puts out the release that a line has to be drawn. Of course many groups these days are suspected of doing this, but some just don’t cover their tracks too well.

Its the case of TRADINGSTANDARDS vs. PLUBE. Plube? Is that a scene group? No. Its a one time p2p release “group” made up of one person. This person also happens to be the Admin of Plube.com and one of my moderators on the RLSLOG Forums. About two days ago, he made a DVDRip of a film called Mutant Chronicles, which had been anticipated by some people on our forums. Proof to this can be found HERE. The source was a DVDR from a torrent tracker (Mutant Chronicles 2008 Pal DVDRo-BcF). Then today, TRADINGSTANDARD happened.

They pred “their” release of the exact same film earlier this morning (Central European Time). First reaction was naturally some suspicion, but nothing more. Then their rls got nuked for DUPE of plubes release, which was pretty funny. But then a closer look at the TRADINGSTANDARDS rls gave the greatest laugh of all:

Obviously, TRADINGSTANDARDS didn’t even bother to cover the most simple of tracks.

I’m sure a lot of you will say, “who cares, we’re all stealing anyways”, but those who say that don’t truly have an idea of the effort and risk many scene groups go through to put out releases (even though they’re not meant for you). Groups like TRADINGSTANDARDS make a mockery of that effort.

Not a super exciting release here from DiAMOND, simply since this has already been released in very watchable quality by COCAIN, but its always nice to get the retail. Fighting films tend to be pretty stale and stereotypical and judging by some of the ratings and reviews of this film, this is no exception. Give it a watch if you’re a fan of the genre though I say. Enjoy.

Yesterday the BluRay of Batman Begins was released. On it, the first six minutes of the upcoming sequel The Dark Knight was released. This film comes out in cinemas on July 18th in the USA, so this is pretty much completely exclusive material. Ripped by Waldo, who is one of my moderators on the RLSLOG Forums, but also the ex-owner (but still completely runs) plube.com . Download link is below some additional snaps. Awesome. Two major games in two days. Finally the game scene is getting a serious boost from some major titles. This is another game I remember playing back on the PS2 which was great fun. Alone in the Dark is a much more serious game than Devil May Cry though. It has a darker atmosphere and can be compared to titles like Silent Hill. Atari are behind it this time around though, so lets hope they’ve done a good job on it. Ratings look decent to bad, but if you enjoy a bit of a scare, this may just be something for you. HF and make sure you read the NFO. Installation is a bit more complex than usual since the developers required a component to be downloaded before one is able to play single player. Good job on cracking this one if it works =) If you have a slow connection or bandwidth limitations I would wait to download this one though until some reports have come in.

What a show! This is hands down the most entertaining reality television show created in the US. Why? Because its basically a Japanese game show! If you don’t know how entertaining Japanese game shows are, you have a lot of catching up to do. Basically, a group of Americans are sent over to Japan to compete in the show. Each week there’s a bunch of challenges. The winners get a reward (some luxury tour in japan or similar) and the losers get punished.

WARNING: This release gets completely out of sync further into the show. UNLESS its a local issue (which I doubt), this will be nuked. Rare mistake from a great group like SYS.

Challenges include riding a tricycle on a conveyor belt above a swimming pool of ice cold water, while the belt’s speed is controlled by the teammates on a stationary bike (riding faster slows down the conveyor belts speed). Then, contestants wearing velcro suits will try to match body parts as they slam into a wall outlined in body like patterns.

Wow, well this was really unexpected, I actually didn’t even have any idea that this was going to be released on PC, but I’m a huge Devil May Cry fan so I’ll be checking this out. I got the first game for the PS2 ages ago and just loved the atmosphere of the game along with the interesting combat system (using both guns and sword at the same time etc).
