I don’t usually watch every ice road truckers episode, because I find it to be a little slow-going. However the plot outline for Man Down deems itself worthy and I shall check it out.

Man Down: Bear and Eric are left in charge of carrying a pair of important pieces across the ice highway, a boiler and a flare stack into Langley, an area which has had polar bears spotted in the area. The truckers need to be aware of this danger since arctic polar bears have been known to kill humans. Rick threatens to quit as pressure mounts due to a 5-day-long trip in which he has been scheduled for. Alex is med-evaced to Yellowknife medical facilities as his health worsens, leaving his fate unknown.

Wow. Been a while since Slipknot were on the scene (metal scene that is). They toured like madmen supporting their 4th album Vol. 3 (or 3rd depending on whether you count MFKR or not, but that was an awesome album, so I’m definitely counting that) which resulted in me seeing them at least 5 or 6 times on different festivals and concerts around Europe. This new music video was shot in their home state of Iowa. Its a different Slipknot this time around, but I quite enjoy this track.

The music video for “Psychosocial” was shot at Sound Farm studios in Jamaica, Iowa on June 30, 2008. The shoot was delayed due to an unrelated head injury sustained by turntablist Sid Wilson before the shoot, who was subsequently hospitalised. On July 18, 2008 the video premiered on MTV’s “FNMTV” show.^[10] The video, which was directed by Paul Brown, was shot using high-end cameras which shoot 1,000 frames per second and are contrasted with traditional 35 mm hand crank camera equipment.

Last weeks episode was really entertaining when they raced through Japan, so I’m hoping for another great show from the fellas at Top Gear. The TV highlight on sundays.

Challenge: Clarkson buys a Mercedes-Benz 600 and May buys a Rolls-Royce Corniche Coupé and they have a challenge to see which classic luxury limousine is superior.

Review: Clarkson, having acknowledged that the previous week’s race did not include a proper road test, reviews the Nissan GT-R in earnest and tests its abilities on a Japanese race track.

I haven’t personally listened very much to this band, but they are very well respected all around the world and one of my favourite artists of all time Johnny Cash covered a Reznor track (Hurt), so I have much respect for them as well. Saw them live back in 2005 and they were quite a powerful act. This release has been available for free download since May and last I checked free downloads should not be released by scene groups. I guess this is in a grey area since its actually a rip of the physical CD which has now been released in stores. In any case, true NIN fans will already have heard this album, but now the scene release is here. Enjoy.

On May 5, 2008, Nine Inch Nails released The Slip on its website without any advertisement or promotion. The album was made available for download free of charge, and the entire album is protected under the Creative Commons attribution Non-commercial Share-alike license. Physical copies in vinyl and CD format will be available for purchase in July. Since it was first made available, The Slip has seen individual downloads surpassing 1.4 million.

Should be pretty obvious what this show is about. Hear someone mention Ibiza and your mind is sure to wander to thoughts of raves, drugs and bars. Its the party island. This is one of those British shows with a female voiceover explaining everything that’s happening on the screen. Could be kinda fun. Enjoy.
