There is a lot of TV to be watched on Mondays, and despite the lack of 24 this spring, it is probably one of the best nights to watch TV. I would say it is in a tie with Thursday night for shows that I am a regular of. I thought I would try something new tonight, since its finals time and I’m crunched. That said, here is my roundup of TV for the evening. Well, its Monday night, which means the latest episode of Gossip Girl. This week’s episode is brought to you by XOR. If you haven’t checked out this show, its from the same guy who created the OC, so it might be for you. Personally, I just watch it for all the hot chicks.

Plot: It’s SAT time, and Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg), Serena’s former partner in all things bad, returns to Manhattan. They go out to a bar one night and things go haywire. The next night, they decide to have a one hour dinner, no alcohol. However, Georgina spikes Serena’s drink, and she ends up missing another study night with Dan. Nate finds romance with Vanessa, the last person he would expect. Jenny meets a guy who could be her ticket to permanent popularity, but Rufus on the other hand, grounds her for the Valentino incident. Dan and Blair discover Vanessa and Nate are spending time together. Meanwhile Blair is trying to bring down Nelly Yuki, one of the smartest girls at Constance, so that she will wipe out the competition for Yale. She does so by keeping Nelly off focus by having her ex-boyfriend mess with her feelings so that she will screw up her SAT’s.

The latest episode of Moonlight has been released by group FoV. Personally, I really enjoy this show. I’m watching it on my DVR as I write this. This show is about a vampire private investigator. I’m not a big fan of vampire shows but this one seems to be written well and have a good cast. Hopefully, this won’t suffer the Friday night curse and get canceled like so many other good CBS shows… Jericho fans, anyone? Anyway, enjoy.

Plot: When Beth’s boss, Maureen, is killed after telling Beth she had a hot story to pursue, a new ADA named Benjamin Talbot investigates the murder. Naturally Beth and Mick launch their own investigation, which Talbot warns could taint any evidence and let Maureen’s killer walk free. The investigation leads them to Bonnie, the 15-year-old daughter of a politician, Kent Morton, who is hiding a painful secret for her father who is about to be elected Mayor. The secret is eating her up inside and she attempts suicide, but Mick lends an understanding ear…and some very human reflexes.

Today is April 24^th, and you may ask, what significance does that have? Well, today is the anticipated release date of Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron. As is customary for Linux distributions, Ubuntu 8.04 includes incremental updates to many of the software packages that make up the system, from low-level details like the window manager and graphics subsystem, all the way up to the bundled OpenOffice.org productivity suite.

The new release is also the first to ship with the Firefox 3.0 browser, which is currently still in late-stage beta testing. This is widely touted as the savior of Linux, as it will bring Linux to the masses. I tried some of the earlier versions a few years ago, when I was building a tv tuner system, but opted for a Windows based machine. Nonetheless, if you aren’t a Linux fanboy, you might want to give this distribution a shot. It is free to download, or you can request a copy be mailed to your physical address.

Designer Erik De Nijs has put a keyboard in pants. A KEYBOARD IN PANTS! I guess these are great if you just can’t wait to get on rlslog and check to see if the latest episode of America’s Next Top Model has been released, because lets face it, if you are buying these, you probably love that show more than anything ever created. Someone call me when a hat with a built-in fold down Bluetooth adapter or shoes that will walk for me come out.
