ARN released Wallet, a secure storage for your passwords – may come in handy from time to time.

Your Memory Sucks. That’s why Wallet is so great. Can’t seem to remember your account for that one site you almost never visit? Need to re-install some software you lost the serial number for? Well, you’re in trouble. But had you entered that data in Wallet beforehand, you’d be able to retrieve that information effortlessly.

Wallet is super flexible – it can be used to keep almost any sort of data you can think of! Domain names, grocery items, locations of downtown WiFi hotspots, etc. are just some of the things you can keep in Wallet. You’ll never have an excuse to forget things again.

If you only need a few files or folders from a larger archive, you don’t have to extract the whole thing and remove all the unneeded files. Simply drag the files you need from the BetterZip window to any Finder window or the desktop.

BetterZip can open archives without first extracting them which is fast, really fast. Then search for a file with the search box like in iTunes. BetterZip can open and extract archives with the most common formats: ZIP, SIT, TAR, GZip, BZip2, RAR, 7-Zip, CPIO, ARJ, LZH/LHA, JAR, WAR, CAB, ISO, CHM, RPM, DEB, NSIS, BIN, HQX, DD.

Simply drag files and folders from your hard drives, disks, or network places into your new zip file. You no longer have to copy all the files into a temporary folder first. When you are ready save the archive and everything is packed together. The supported formats are ZIP, TAR, GZip and BZip2 compressed TAR, 7-ZIP, and RAR (using the external RAR commandline tool). Large archives can be split.

Here’s another release from Team ROGUE – TextMate, a text editor full of useful features.

Hazel is your personal housekeeper, organizing and cleaning folders based on rules you define. Hazel can also manage your trash and uninstall your applications.

Organize your files using a familiar rule interface. Filter on the file’s name, type, date, the site or email address it came from and more. And do more than just file. You can set color labels, Spotlight keywords and comments and even archive files. Hazel also cleans, sporting options to clean out incomplete and duplicate downloads.

In addition, Hazel can manage your Trash for you, relieving you of having to empty it yourself.

All this is done automatically in the background allowing you to focus on your real work.

CORE released two apps from Ironic. Both help you organize your files, making it easier to find them. They’ve got pretty good ratings – go try them!

Yep organizes the paper that clutters your life. Think of Yep as iPhoto for your documents.

Yep helps make important documents like receipts, medical records, income tax returns, bank statements and important letters more accessible. Often these documents are stored away in filing cabinets in a storage room, or crammed in desk drawers. MacUpdate loves Yep because it helps you scan these important documents into your Mac.

Once your documents are scanned, they become instantly searchable and organized in one central location. You will no longer have to hunt for your documents all over the office or house. Yep is going to save you a lot of time and give you a digital backup copy of your documents for peace-of-mind.

Yep is scanner friendly, but doesn’t require one. It can organize all of the documents already on your Mac (like PDFs). It makes them all searchable and way more organized.

Leap – Media Search… A combination Spotlight, Bridge, Finder, and more. With the Finder on Leopard you can find that you have over 10,000 images. Leap shows you all of them, and more importantly – where they are on your computer. No other tool does this. Works great for office documents, too.

Folders and rigid hierarchies might have made sense back when we had hundreds of files, but we’re now swimming in images, files, movies and other data. That’s where tags come in. Tags are keywords that you assign to a file. This makes it extremely easy to find documents, regardless of their location.

In addition to the tags you enter, Leap will find keywords associated with a file from XMP metadata, from Spotlight metadata, from its folder location and from its creation date.

With Leap you find things based on your natural memory of that file. “Hhmm it was a big photoshop file of a basketball court” or “Something I tagged important” or “A word document somewhere in my documents folder” (feel free to substitute your own here).

Leap’s ability to quickly browse like documents allow you to stumble upon not only the file you were looking for but sometimes an even better one that you weren’t looking for. Leap’s search results show up as beautiful, scalable thumbnails that can be ordered anyway you want.

Pixelmator is a beautifully designed, easy-to-use, fast and powerful image editor for Mac OS X has everything you need to create, edit and enhance your images.

Pixelmator is a layer-based image editor. You can quickly create layers from your photos, other pictures, from selections or even your iSight. Yes, Pixelmator can add a layer to your composition directly from your Mac’ little camera. Not only can you link and arrange added layers, but Pixelmator allows you to blend layers, change their opacity, create clipping masks or even add layer masks to hide some portions of layer.

It even has iSight compatibility so you can have it take a picture and add it as a layer for editing.
