Reno 911 Miami CAM XviD-CAMERA

A comedy involving a bunch of cops who look like clowns and certainly act like it. I haven’t really payed a lot of attention to the trailer and I didn’t look into the movie either so I have nothing to say about this movie, all I know is that there is a TV show called Reno 911 or something in that nature. I do have some space to fill up so let’s just go completely off-topic here. There’s currently some stuff going on with RLSLOG and I was just wondering what you guys would like to see on RLSLOG to make it better. Please keep it realistic, we’re a WordPress based blog so the possibilities are limited. Make a list if you like, doesn’t matter what, just gimme something.

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars DEMO RELEASED!!!

Finally the demo for C&C3: Tiberium Wars is out. I’ve been a fan of C&C ever since the first one and I am dying to see the whole story continuation with live-action back into C&C after some guy thought it would be better to take away the coolest and most defining part of the C&C franchise’s singleplayer campaigns in Generals. Here are the mirrors:

The Number 23 CAM XviD-CAMERA

Another movie with Jim Carrey in it, I am of course talking about the Jim Carrey from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Not the one you know from The Mask and Ace Ventura. This movie is a must-see and as soon as it’s out in a better format I’ll get it asap because this is one of those movies that will blow your mind. It’s one of those psychological movies where you really don’t know whether the main character is right or wrong and whether or not the whole movie won’t end with the main character waking up and realizing it was all a dream. I doubt that last one is the case here because people don’t like deus ex machina’s like that. Anyway, here’s the CAM.

The psychological thriller “The Number 23″ stars Jim Carrey as a man whose life unravels after he comes into contact with an obscure book titled The Number 23. As he reads the book, he becomes increasingly convinced that it is based on his own life. His obsession with the number 23 starts to consume him, and he begins to realize the book forecasts far graver consequences for his life than he could have ever imagined.

Directed by Joel Schumacher (”Phone Booth”), the film co-stars Virginia Madsen (”Sideways”), Danny Huston (”The Constant Gardner,” “The Aviator”), Logan Lerman and Rhona Mitra. The screenplay is written by Fernley Phillips and the producers are Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson (”The Exorcism of Emily Rose”). “The Number 23″ is scheduled for a February 23rd, 2007 release.

Sony just dropped down to a whole new level of sucking. *Revised*

Does anyone remember when the PS3 was first announced? I do. The first time I saw those amazing graphics and extremely true to life gameplay I was almost converted to becoming a cross-platform gamer. That was two years ago. Today I’m still proud to be a PC gamer. Why is this you ask? Well, just 10 seconds into the Kill Zone 2 trailer I knew that there was something funny about that trailer… It was almost as if… As if it was all pre-rendered! What was worse was that the game developers actually stated that it was ALL 100% in-game footage. As did Sony’s genius PR department. “KillZone 2? Wha… In-game? Is that good? It is? Oh well in that case it’s all 100% in-game.”. And then it turned out that a lot of those PS3 trailers were pre-rendered. That’s when I started hating Sony for lying to all of their would-be-had-you-not-lied-to-them costumers.

The point I’m making is this: Sony lied, and now they’re being punished for it. You know how every company or brand or what ever, pretty much every commercial product has some sort of spoof made about it? Like the Mac VS PC ads? Yeah, well it’s bad enough when people make spoofs about your ad campaigns. This means that a lot of people really don’t like your product or your ad campaign. But when a song is written and performed, just to make your product look silly… That is the point where you, as a company, should really start doubting your super boosted ego and regret statements that basically come down to: “We are the market leaders so you’ll all buy our new product any way. Why? Because…. Ehm… YOUR GAY IF YOU DON’T! You don’t wanna be gay do you?”. I present to you, my favorite song of all time, the PS3 song!

Update: Some of you have clearly misinterpreted the gay bashing part. It was not me that was bashing gays it was Sony. But it’s all taken way out of proportion, Sony would never bash gay people in press conferences. By saying: “If you don’t, you’re gay!” I’m actually making it clear that only a homophobic, KKK associated retarded redneck would do it. I’ll be honest with you people, I did post this just to piss off the Sony fanboys. Why? Because the resulting flame wars are always hilarious and filled with misinformed fanboys teaming up as they desperately try to defend a product that they know in the back of their minds is crap. Sure MS lost a lot of money getting into the console wars but what they actually did was invest. Not lose, invest. Because right now the 360 is the most popular console for games, with the Wii being to most popular console for people who only game every now and then.

In the last console war the results were this:

  1. Sony Playstation 2
  2. Nintendo Gamecube
  3. Microsoft X-Box

But now they’re:

  1. Microsoft X-Box 360
  2. Nintendo Wii
  3. Sony Playstation 3

Just look at the damn statistics. Also, did you guys catch that hilarious “Behind the mask” news article about the PS3 actually being the 360 in disguise? These last few months of PS3 bashing have been some of the funniest news months ever. I do not own any console (’cept for an old skool SNES that I haven’t seen in many years) so I really don’t care about what console is best. Heck, I don’t even have any handheld consoles. But everyone loves these fanboy flamewars and that’s what I gave you, front row seats to the funniest thing on RLSLOG in a long time. Enjoy.

NVIDIA Vista drivers for the 8800 series now WHQL certified!!

From Bit-Tech, source.

“It’s a Vista WHQL day in the graphics card world, apparently. Two quick newsbytes:

AMD has announced that it will have the drivers for its upcoming R600 graphics card WHQL certified before the chip even hard-launches at CeBIT. This means that the card will be ready for system builders and gamers alike to start using on the day of the launch, a pretty notable achievement. This is another feather in the cap of AMD, which has already had pretty robust support for ATI’s entire graphics line and technologies since Vista’s launch on January 31st.

NVIDIA is also joining the WHQL party, releasing its new 100.65 driver today. This is the first driver to take the 8800 series out of the ‘beta’ stage, and is a welcome move for system builders. Companies who participate in several of Microsoft’s marketing programs cannot ship products that aren’t WHQL certified in order to make sure that users get a decent Vista experience, so the 8800 has been off-limits.

The WHQL driver is good news, but there is no new word on the 6 and 7 series SLI debacle aside from “the next beta.” Hopefully we will see that appear in the next week or so, which would be in line with the current beta releases (once every fortnight, give or take).”

Will this finally enable me to play Armed Assault without frame drops to 1 FPS? I hope so because I have a Core2Duo E6600 and a XFX 8800GTS 640 MB and the game only recommends a Pentium 4 with 3,2 Ghz or something like that! So it’s ridiculous that my rig can’t play the game with decent frame rates! Well, more proper WHQL certified NVIDIA drivers will follow in the next month or two and until I start my Game Development study (which lasts about 4 years) I won’t be playing a lot of games anyway. I’m not that much a gamer as I used to be. In other news UFO: Aftermath is out but in my opinion the game already fits into the retro category of games so I won’t even bother posting it…

Breach CAM XviD-CAMERA

I’ve never heard of this movie so I don’t have a lot to tell. Since this is a true story I’m likely to check it out. Also, it’s got a few big names in the cast and on top of that it’s currently rated a 7.6 on IMDB. The real news I’m able to inform ya’ll about would probably be the new design of IMDB’s pages…

Martin: warning, VERY poor quality!

Based on the true story, FBI upstart Eric O’Neill enters into a power game with his boss, Robert Hanssen, an agent who was ultimately convicted of selling secrets to the Soviet Union. A young FBI agent is propelled into a tricky situation when he discovers his boss has been selling secrets to his Russian counterparts in BREACH. Not a lot of info…
