Placebo – Battle for the Sun (2009)
Here is the newest album for British rock group Placebo. I know these guys have a very hardcore fanbase, and a lot of people have been waiting very eagerly for this release.
2009 release, the sixth studio album from the British Alt-Rock trio. With a 13 year history that takes in five studio albums, 10 million album sales, breakdowns, clean ups and the dizzy swell of global success, Placebo return with their first album since the release of Meds in 2006. Battle For The Sun was recorded over three months by producer Dave Bottrill (chosen by the band largely because of his work with Tool) in his Toronto studio and mixed in London by Alan Moulder. Battle For The Sun is a startling, alive, vital and boundary-vaulting record that marks a whole new era for a band that were in need of a change.

Here is a new remix album, the subject being the last Bloc Party album, Intimacy. I’ve seen Bloc Party live and like them quite a bit, and although remixes are generally kind of hit or miss, I figured there’d be a demand for this release.
I’m sure some people out there have been waiting a while for this, the first major label album from hip hop star Asher Roth, whose single “I Love College” is already a big hit in both the US and the UK.
Here is the newest EP from indie rock outfit Death Cab for Cutie. Just a 5 song EP, but I hope it’s enough for fans to get their fix while waiting on their next album.
Here is the new album from Canadian alternative hip hop star K-Os, who has quite a following in the Great White North, as well as from hardcore hip hop fans.
This was a very welcome surprise for me, when I found out this had pre’d earlier today. I love Bob Mould’s music, and last year’s album District Line was one of my favorites. Here’s his newest, a few days before it hits store shelves, titled Life and Times. I hope you enjoy it.
Earlier, Martin posted one of the “New Play Control!” Wii games that was released in the US today. Now, thanks to the same scene group, ProCiSiON, I’ve got the other, Pikmin. This is the kind of game, that from it’s GameCube days, seemed like a natural fit for the Wii’s motion controls, and I’m eager to download it myself!
