Untraceable R5 XviD-iNQONTROL

Unknown group iNQONTROL has won the race to release this anticipated Crime Thriller in R5 quality. A quick glance on IMDB and RT reveals that this movie is probably nothing too special and may be over-hyped. Anyway, the quality is very good. The picture quality is crystal and the sound is loud and clear. The only downside, I think, is that the video is kind of dark, but of course that isn’t a big deal, and this release is as close to a DVDRip as you can get.

Synopsis: Directed by Gregory Hoblit (FRACTURE, PRIMAL FEAR), UNTRACEABLE follows F.B.I. cybercrimes specialist Jennifer Marsh (Diane Lane) as she attempts to track down a serial killer who brazenly displays his murderous deeds on the Internet. Aided by fellow agent Griffin Dowd (Colin Hanks) and local detective Eric Box (Billy Burke), Marsh tenaciously hunts for the elusive criminal in rainy Pacific Northwest settings, but as she closes in on her target, he deviously finds ways to get closer to her, all the while killing his victims in increasingly faster fashion.

How She Move DVDRip XViD-iMBT

According to IMDB, this may be one of the worst movies ever made. How else would you explain the #8 spot on the worst movies EVER list, following an average score of 1.5 by almost 2,000 viewers? Oddly, it’s not rated half as bad on RT, with a very decent 69% fresh tomatoes. Either way, “How She Move” is a low-budget Drama with no known actors. The grammatically incorrect name implies that we should expect ghetto style slang and phat ass-shaking. Nothing to say about quality, it’s normal 1 CD by well-known group iMBT. Have fun.

Synopsis: Much like STOMP THE YARD and STEP UP, HOW SHE MOVE showcases the hypnotic choreography and mind-blowing talent that make step dancing such a popular part of youth culture. In her film debut, Rutina Wesley portrays Raya Green, a high school student hailing from the projects. Her intelligence and drive bring her to a prestigious private school, but she is forced back home after her sister’s death from a drug addiction soaks up the last of Raya’s tuition fund. With her parents working round the clock to make ends meet, Raya finds herself gravitating to her former friends from the neighborhood.

Starting Out in the Evening LIMITED DVDRip XviD-SAPHiRE

I remember posting the DVDSCR release of this film back in February, and wanted to see it ever since. Problem was, the DVDSCR had black & white screenes and property messages. This DVDRip, of course, contains none, and quality is typically good. “Starting Out in the Evening” is a Drama starring Frank Langella (“The Ninth Gate”) and Lauren Ambrose (“Six Feet Under”), that’s gotten excellent reviews on RT (86%). If you’re into Drama films, you’ll probably enjoy this.

UPDATE: Subtitles link included.

Synopsis: Though he’s spent most of his career as a character actor in supporting roles, Frank Langella gives the lead performance of a lifetime in STARTING OUT IN THE EVENING, based on the novel by Brian Morton. Flanked by Lili Taylor and Lauren Ambrose, Langella is the central piece in a film that focuses on its characters. The film begins with aging writer Leonard Schiller (Langella, SUPERMAN RETURNS), a man who feels as obsolete as the typewriter he is pounding away at. Though he has four novels to his credit, he has been working on his fifth for a decade. Enter Heather Wolfe (Ambrose, SIX FEET UNDER), a grad student who plans to write her thesis on Schiller’s work. She cajoles the reluctant man into helping her, and they begin a curious friendship.

One Missed Call 720p Bluray x264-Chakra

DiAMOND released this crap in DVDRip quality earlier, and group Chakra already came up with the 720p version. To all but the most juvenile viewer, this should be a no-no. The movie is apparently so dreadful that it couldn’t get a single fresh review on RT. I would also like to say that this is probably the most ridiculous poster I’ve ever seen. It kind of looks like they let a kid in a Photoshop 101 class compose this monumentally imbecilic image and thought it was a work of art. I hope you’re happy Ed, you broke my heart.

Synopsis: In the tradition of THE RING, THE GRUDGE, DARK WATER, and PULSE, ONE MISSED CALL is yet another moody Japanese ghost story to be adapted for American screens. Originally made by cult director Takashi Miike in 2003 from Yasushi Akimoto’s novel CHAKUSHIN ARI, this American version retains the elements that are sure to please J-Horror fans–jerky apparitions, ghostly children, desperate messages from beyond the grave, possessed electronic devices, and strong female characters. While this remake, which is the debut English-language film from French director Eric Valette, dispenses with some of the freakiness of Miike’s version, the creepiness remains. Shannon Sossamon is Beth, a developmental psychology student who has plenty of cause for concern after her friend Leann (Azura Skye) receives a panicked cell phone message from herself days in the future.

Romulus My Father LIMITED DVDRip XviD-Larceny

Interesting release by group Larceny, who are quickly establishing themselves as providers of high-quality DVDRips. This Australian Drama film stars Eric Bana and Franka Potente (“Lola Rennt”), and it has won several awards in its home country. Ratings are a bit mixed, but it can’t be too bad. The quality is good on just 1 CD.

Synopsis: Actor Richard Roxburgh makes a smooth transition to directing with this moving drama adapted from Raimond Gaita’s memoir. Eric Bana (MUNICH) stars as Romulus, a Yugoslavian man who struggles to raise his young son alone in Victoria, Australia. After the family moves from Europe, his wife’s depression takes over and she leaves her husband and son alone to fend for themselves in the foreign country. Forfeit 2007 DVDRip XviD-ELiA

“Forfeit” is a low-budget Drama/Thriller that you shouldn’t get your hopes up for. Then again, if you are an indie film buff, you may want to check it out. The synopsis sounds very intriguing, but there are almost no votes on IMDB to judge by, and while the movie exists on RT, there’s only one review. Quality is regular for 1 CD. Video bitrate is above average and audio is OK.

Synopsis: Andrew Shea’s scabrous and brutal psychological drama Forfeit concerns Frank O’Neal (Billy Burke), a man who once murdered his abusive father as an adolescent, and fled from his home in Los Angeles. Now, after years away from that city, a thirtysomething Frank returns to L.A., accepts a job as an armored car guard, and attempts to re-bond with an old sweetheart, Karen (E.R.’s Sherry Stringfield). But in reality, Frank is a clinical sociopath, scheming and plotting to stage a massive robbery and setting Karen up to take the rap.
