A German scene group POSTMORTEM released a full ISO version of new racing video game Cobra 11 Burning Wheels yesterday and Unleashed now brings a DVDRiP version of the same title. The interesting thing about it is there’s nothing missing and the size is much lower. The intro (which was in 720p quality) was replaced with a low resolution one to decrease the final size, but as I wrote, besides that, nothing is ripped. Great graphics in this average game based on popular TV show. The game was already released for Xbox 360.

The recent animated movie The Tale of Despereaux celebrates quite a success and receives overall positive reviews. Group GOW now released a PC version of official game for this movie. As in most cases, this is a quickly made action adventure title with not that much to offer. There’s also no protection so you don’t have to bother with cracks.

Web sites saw visitors deserting Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser in favor of Apple’s Safari, Mozilla’s Firefox and Google’s Chrome in December, according to Web analytics company Net Applications. Internet Explorer was used by 68.15% of Web surfers monitored in December, down from 69.77% in November and 71.27% in October, according to preliminary figures published by Net Applications on its Hitslink Web site Friday. IE’s share has slipped from around 75% since the start of 2008. Safari, Firefox and Chrome all profited from the slide in IE’s popularity. Firefox’s share rose to 21.34%, from 20.78% in November and 19.97% in October, while Safari’s climbed to 7.93%, from 7.13% in November and 6.57% in October.

Google’s Chrome browser topped the 1 percent mark in Net Applications’ survey for the first time, with a share of 1.04%, up from 0.83% in November and 0.74% in October. Opera’s share remained steady at 0.71%. Net Applications warned that decreased workplace use of the Internet in December may have biased its results. “The December holiday season strongly favored residential over business usage. This in turn increases the relative usage share of Mac, Firefox, Safari and other products that have relatively high residential usage,” it said. However, Internet Explorer’s market share actually declined more slowly in December than it had done in November, according to the company’s figures.

A scene group VORTEX released an XboX 360 version of great Japanese action game Warriors Orochi 2. Developed by studio Omega Force and distributed by KOEI, this is originally PS2 title converted to Xbox. Nice colourful graphics with great looking effects and also French localication included in this release.

Shattering time and space, the venomous Serpent King Orochi kidnapped the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors in a scheme to test his might. The heroes eventually defeated Orochi and his menacing army. While the slain Orochi lies in the netherworld, a mysterious alliance is hatching an otherworldly plan so that the Serpent King may rise again. Now a new group of warriors must join forces with history’s finest in an effort to stop this evil resurrection.

Warriors Orochi 2 takes place after the events of the original game. The game’s main Story Mode features storylines for the kingdoms of Wu, Wei, and Shu, and the Samurai Warriors, while a new Orochi storyline looks back to the first series of wars to expose some of the Serpent King’s secrets.

The cat and mouse game between iPhone hackers and Apple has taken a new interesting turn, as the hackers have unlocked the device from the shackles of AT&T. Presenting an incredible New Year gift to the iPhone owners who simply don’t want to be restricted to AT&T network, iPhone hackers have unleashed a software, tagged as “Yellowsn0w”, which is now available as free download for the users. In addition, the software could also be useful to the residents of the places where AT&T’s network is not available yet. A part of the iPhone developer team met at the 25th Chaos Communication Congress, the team members Planetbeing, Pytey, Bushing, and Musclenerd, in conjunction with several anonymous Russian speakers, have demonstrated the way of unlocking and jailbreaking the device in a one hour presentation.

While discussing the unlocking procedure, the hackers kicked-off their demonstration with describing iPhone’s basic design, its boot sequence and baseband, and all such entities that were required to unlock the iPhone. The iPhone dev team discussed the various exploits they used for the purpose, which differed starkly from the efforts required for first- and second-generation handsets, along with the manner the unlock code executes, and the method of delivering payload.
