well i downloaded a torrent of this game yesterday and it works fine no virus BS or sumthing like that, i am stuck ingame now tho=/ and i agree with the poor writing lol

uh oh downloaded the torrent and got virus. Tried the instructions #45 gave but computer won’t load in safe mode either help please?

As much as I hate to admit this, I find myself agreeing with some of the more negative responses, but not wholeheartedly. You guys post a lot of stuff, and that’s great. You take time to write about nearly every release, and I appreciate that. But what’s really sad is that in the reviews you guys say that almost every game is good, you recommend every game, and you borrow outside opinions ad nauseum; yet somehow when I read the corresponding comments it seems as if you never even played the game.

I like this site because in the past it has been fairly reliable, it has an RSS feed and some of the staff post decent reviews. Basically, I’m just asking ypu guys to be honest with us. If you haven’t played insert game here, or tried an app, or listened to an mp3, then say so. Tell us rotten tomatoes, ign, etc said it was good. Tell us you have no clue how good or bad it is, but don’t pawn someone else’s opinion off as your own and say: This game is great for everyone in the genre. That’s merely a convoluted way of trying to pretend you know what you are talking about.

Suffice it to say, RLSlog has come to a point where I no longer read the reviews to tell how a game, or anything is. Instead I am forced to scroll through comments to find out the general consensus. So please, please, please stop giving us these generic “recommend this to X” and give us the real deal. I’d rather hear the truth from you than the bickering from the comments.

Actually I’m not so sure it is just the torrents/p2p ones, because I ran VundoFix and it came back with 2 bad .dll files. So I might have been infected before I installed this “sweet” game but I’m guessing it was the game.
But man this game is… horrid. Ugh, it wouldn’t be half bad if it wasn’t for the terrible writing. And the writing is really what usually makes an adventure game shine or flop. In this case it flopped. Geez I really can’t get over the writing in this game… its sooo urgggghhhh!!!

Well the release installed fine on my computer and I installed this so called “spyware/trojan infested” software a few days ago. And I scanned it with NOD32 and spybot s&d with no problems detected.
Granted the game does suck and I actually enjoy adventure games. The problem with this game is the writing. I mean whoever translated it from french to english did a piss poor job of it. I mean its like “i just done did that and i was did there 3 hours ago”. And its like WTF?!? It kinda ruins the mood when the writing is terrible like that.
Also the release isn’t nuked on any site so I dont know why you said it’s nuked. I downloaded the files from megaupload so it could be the torrent version has a virus?!? I dont know.

Yes the setup.exe within the image-file is full of trojan/spyware. Not sure about the .MSI file in the image tho.

IN CASE OF INFECTION FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS BELOW :

Use smitfraudfix to clean out the worst part (the nasty popups, taskbar, admin restrictions and removed drives in Windows).

Then after that you still need to clean the trojans, i used Kaspersky 2009 trial, NOD32 trial, Trojanhunter 5, Spybot S&D and Ad-aware 2008 plus trial + manual cleaning of folders.

BAD BAD Release its nuked for virus.
