Attack On Pearl Harbor-HATRED

Today HATRED bring us a good looking game called Attack on Pearl Harbour. In this game you get to be a Pilot for either the American or Japanese air force as you get to potentially change history. The game appears to have a similar feel to Battlestations: Midway that was released a few months ago. Attack on Pearl Harbour probably isn’t going to be revolutionary and it most likely won’t interest hardcore players but it should provide a few hours of casual gaming fun.

In Attack on Pearl Harbor, players can sign up for either side as they are offered the role of daring US gunner turned pilot Douglas Knox or Japanese ace Zenji Yamada. History’s yours to shape: Either nation can win the war depending on your actions as players battle for supremacy behind the cockpits of some of the most prolific fighters, bombers and torpedo-bearing aircraft of the WWII Pacific Theater. Playable planes include Japan’s Mitsubishi A6M Zero, the D3A1 Aichi Val and the B5N Nakajima Kate as well as America’s Chance Vought F4U Corsair, the Douglas SBD Dauntless and the Grumman TBM Avenger.

Featuring a sturdy online component designed for short-session multiplayer dog-fighting, Attack on Pearl Harbor is a casual, pick-up-and-play WWII flight combat game appropriate for all ages and skill levels. The game features a selection of online and offline modes with a variety of missions and campaigns putting players in the cockpits of the main protagonists of the WWII Pacific Theatre – the USAAF and the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service. Attack on Pearl Harbor will use Legendo’s proprietary network technology featuring a user-friendly lobby system and NAT punch-through features for hassle free single-click multiplayer setup.

Features:

  • Intuitive Controls – Pick up and play the game via a simple, straightforward control scheme that’ll have anyone flying in seconds.
  • Jaw-Dropping Graphics – Widescreen gaming support coupled with dazzling special effects provides a beautifully rendered backdrop of the Pacific.
  • Choose Your Side – Play as the dashing Douglas Knox of the USAAF or fighter pilot Zenji Yamada of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service.
  • Riveting Action – Take off from the deck of an aircraft carrier in the most prolific fighters, bombers and torpedo-bearing aircraft of the WWII Pacific Theatre!

System Requirements:

  • Windows® 2000/XP/Vista
  • 1 GHz CPU (2 GHz recommended)
  • 256 MB RAM (512 MB recommended)
  • 500 MB disk space
  • 3D card with 32 MB RAM (64 MB recommended)
  • DirectX 9.0c (or later)
  • Play the game using keyboard & mouse, joystick or gamepad

    Careful.

As you all know making FSP maps of your school and owning a hammer qualifies you as a terrorist here in the states.

I’d hate to see what happens if the FBI busts down you’re door and you’re piloting a Japanese bomber dropping death on Pearl Harbor.

Yeah wtf dude, Delta Farce? I’d rather have someone brand my eyes with a hot poker than watch that bullshit film, but like hikari, I won’t waste any more time explaining to you the utter stupidity you must possess to even begin thinking this movie is anything less than a waste of everyone’s time.

I keep getting a runtime error (automation error). replaced fixed-exe file from gamecopyworld…I noticed they were the same size file though? any thoughts…any help would be great. i’ve uninstalled an reinstalled…still nothing?

  37. VGA
    May 14th, 2007 | 08:32

    @ drae

The runtime error has nothing to do with the crack. Try the usual : updating drivers,DirectX etc.

  38. drae
    May 14th, 2007 | 14:43

Updated everything and still nothing….the game setup window will pop up asking me about display settings, environment details, input device, sound, music, etc…but when I click play that’s when i get the runtime error????

Change config.ini file to get best performance
    I play with these settings:

    [Graphics]
    800 x 600
    TextureVideoMemory 1
    SpecialEffects 0
    Shadows 0
    Windowed 1
    WideScreen 0
    VSync 0

Play in window, no shadows and stuff but it still looks the same :)

    May 14th, 2007 | 21:33

I wish i could play, but still getting the runtime error???

This looks like it will be a fun diversion for a lan party. Similar vein as Crashday, not big, easy to use.

But…is anyone able to get lan games to connect properly? Can see lan games, and click join, but wont connect properly. Thought about Hamachi, but is unrealistic.

    May 15th, 2007 | 21:25

Had same DLL problems listed above. Installed suggested pack. Still missing xdirect1_2.dll

Googled, and download dll by itself, copied into winNT system directory

No more dll errors, but game will not run. Just blanks to desktop when ‘play’ button clicked. no processes running.

I found the answer. It works at least by me. If you are using the shortcut its destination is wrong you have to go to program files/attackonpearlharbor and click on the Attack On Pearl Harnor Icon because the shortcut is designed to execute setup icon.
