Atonement DVDRip XviD-SVD
Atonement hasn’t been getting bad reviews so today I was happy when group SVD released it in a DVDRip. This has to be the best copy released so far as the only other copy was a cam by PreVail. The quality is normal for a DVDRip with both good audio and video. Grab it while you can because I doubt there will be any more releases of this movie.
Joe Wright, the BAFTA Award-winning director of “Pride & Prejudice,” has reunited with his filmmaking team and his Academy Award-nominated actress, Keira Knightley, for another classic British romance, starring James McAvoy (BAFTA Award nominee for “The Last King of Scotland”) opposite Ms. Knightley. Christopher Hampton (Academy Award winner for “Dangerous Liaisons”) has written the screenplay adaptation of Ian McEwan’s best-selling 2002 novel Atonement. Shot on location in the U.K., the film’s story spans several decades. In 1935, 13-year-old fledgling writer Briony Tallis (Saoirse Ronan) and her family live a life of wealth and privilege in their enormous mansion. On the warmest day of the year, the country estate takes on an unsettling hothouse atmosphere, stoking Briony’s vivid imagination. Robbie Turner (Mr. McAvoy), the educated son of the family’s housekeeper, carries a torch for Briony’s headstrong older sister Cecilia (Ms. Knightley). Cecilia, he hopes, has comparable feelings; all it will take is one spark for this relationship to combust. When it does, Briony – who has a crush on Robbie – is compelled to interfere, going so far as accusing Robbie of a crime he did not commit. Not to be nitpicky, but the filename is svd-tnmnt* as it’s svd-tnmnta for CD1 and accordingly svd-tnmntb for CD2. This is important if you have Usenet and have to search for the files for yourselves.

I have no clue – The first one was a private tracker for me… but the link I posted worked like a charm and I now have a finished movie DL sitting on my desktop – It wasn’t a private tracker for me… Weird
Adrive is not as reliable as it used to be. About 50% of the time, the Adrive downloads just stalled/died.
Today, I’ve had to restart all of my Adrive downloads several times.
Anyone else having similar problems ?

I have started using adrive only two or three days ago. So far I dl’ed about five 700 MB files, and none of these dl’s has crashed. But while the first one (or first two) file(s) came in at maximum dl speed (240 KByte/s on my dsl line), the latter files came in at a much lower average dl speed of 50 KByte/s, with much fluctuation (30 – 130 KByte/s). Each of these times I dl’ed only one file at a time.
But a few hours ago, while dl’ing one 700 MB avi off adrive (at ~55 KByte/s), I tried starting a second adrive download simultaneously – and it does work. The second dl has approximately the same speed as the other (first) one. The I became adventurous and started a third download. This does still work.
In fact, as of now, the first two files have finished downloading (all right), while the third file is still coming in. Starting a second and third dl did not influence dl speed of the first or second file.
I mention this because with all the other dl sites I used, I could never dl more than one file at a time (for free). Adrive seems to be different in that respect, at least until now.
I think this may be a dvd screener posing as a dvd rip. Would that make it nuked?
I appreciate the work that goes into making these dvdrips, but for gods sake, learn how to cut the video into 2 parts.
If you want to join the video files together, you need to open CD1, go to the end, and go back one keyframe and make that the end point.
Theres a whole keyframe duplicated at the end of CD1 and the beginning of CD2.
Total mess.

Anyone know if there are any English subtitles for this? I’m downloading it for the parents, only problem is there are parts spoken in French throughout the film, so without subtitles, they won’t be able to watch. Thanks
@58 and others – I’ve used Adrive a handful of times since Vito introduced it here… I agree with your experience. I’m very cautious to make note of the size of the torrent I’m downloading and then checking the final download size to make sure they are the same. If the file is 700Mb, often the first time it will say download complete when only 550Mb (or some other random number) has been saved. Lately I’ve needed to download files twice… not really a problem as that’s still much quicker than torrents. Generally it’ll take 40mins for the entire file for me. This torrent is telling me 6 days! I’ll jumpt to Adrive now.

Are English subtitles needed for the apparent French speaking parts?
There are a couple of French sentences which are not really essential to understand what’s going on. I don’t think they were even subtitled in the theaters … So, no worries!
The same was said about eastern promises but the film would have not been the same without the subtitles I am glad I waited a day for them to come out, same situation with this film hopefully someone will upload them. I have put in a request at opensubtitles.org but am still waiting for subs for lust, caution and that was over a month ago.
It would be good to get the word out to subtitlers about this and Lust.Caution.2007.REPACK.DVDRip.XviD-CiMG it would be a great christmas treat for all us english speaking people as these are both top films and great releases too. I would make a donation.

Yeah Amanda Atonement.2007.DvDRip.Eng-FxM has no subs, I just skipped to 47.40 and theres none, very disappointed but was worth a try.
I have not seen it and don’t want to spoil it for myself but obviously not half the movie probably a few scenes that vary from 2 to 5 minutes.
I will wait for the subs.

yah i saw this in theatres, there are two scenes where french is spoken, the first one is more of an introduction but the second one is about 5 minutes long and not integral or imnportant to the story but will make you wonder what was said.
if someone could sub those two scenes we’d have a perfect copy.

I just asked my french-english dictionary and it says ‘pas’ means ‘no’.
So ‘Je ne parle (parlez?) pas le francais’ seems to literally mean something like: ‘I do not speak not the french’?
Is that correct for french with this double negation?
“Je ne parle pas le francais” = “I don’t speak french”?
In French “ne + verb + pas” is normal negation.

@steve: merge the two files together with WinAVI, it’s very easy, and the output is much better quality than axxo’s releases. it isn’t too hard to do it for yourself…

To those complaining about size, there’s a FxM one disk rip… but for a two hour plus film two disks is absolutely perfect, in my opinion
