I wasn't aware until this comments thread that XP was updating the time weekly, and NIST is one of the choices (at least on my computer where it's loaded). Every time I checked NIST manually, the time was 2-3 seconds off, so I never thought to look more closely at the XP time dialog. I supposed one of the alternatives would be of use where the time zone is half an hour off. If it's an hour back, then couldn't the tz can be adjusted one off?

it's not useless since i have many problems with winxp and timezone even with the daylight savings patch. the problem for me is we are trailing daylight savings in my region so windows keeps resetting the time and timesync servers in windows dont work.

"Can be invoked at the command line, and called in batch files." Now that's something I've always wanted to do to synchronize the PC clock!! LOL!!! I wouldn't be surprised if this was infected with spyware and whatnot. Just ripe for lamers.

Typical newbie application like so many others here. Does anybody know a registry repair/cleaner program or a video converter program? I wish they would list more of those. :-) But it is getting better thanks to some new posters.
