Here is new updated version of Ashampoo’s WinOptimizer 5 by TE grp, something like well known TuneUp Utilities and others in similar / same range.

    @13 banned. In part you are correct, scene rules do state that you do not make any money from warez, however, they also state that it is reasonable to charge for media (i.e. the cost of a blank CD or DVD etc). RSLOG do not charge for warez, but they still have to pay for the upkeep of running this site, and as such this very site becomes the media on which all these goodies are available, so in theory that makes what RLSLOG do quite justified.

    I’m pretty sure that the upkeep of this site costs more than what they make from PPC and ads, so rather than flame we should be saying thanks to Martin who most probably has to make the differance in costing up out his own pocket.

    @19 lol - I would just like to point out that I have no association whatsoever with the staff of this site, I am merely pointing out an issue which may have been overlooked. I DO however know that to run a site like RLSLOG can be VERY expensive, the amount of traffic that comes through here is huge and the bandwidth all has to be paid for.

    I come here to read about new releases. Don’t give a fig about the links. They are a royal pain in the ass compared to usenet. Difference in time between these links and usenet ranges from a few minutes to maybe 8 hours. Haven’t missed a release yet.

    How they pay for this site is their business. More power to them!

    @22 Masked MAC Addy - I will make no further comment on this issue as I am not here for that purpose, but my final comment is that I have been sharing warez for over 20 years, in that time I have used numerous forums and link boards. I know that most of these boards actually take a financial loss, but to the site owners that is irrelevant as they do it for the love of the scene. And on that note, I will not indulge in any further debate on this matter.

    @26 - James. The ‘cracked’ exe can be found in the ‘Crack’ directory of the release (I assume that you have unrared it all first). To find the file you need to replace with the crack, if you have forgotten where you installed it to or just didn’t take any notice then right click on the desktop icon (or start menu shortcut) and select properties, then click open file location (or similar depending on your Windows version). That will take you to the main exe which you then overwrite (copy/paste) with the cracked one.

    Thank u for the intelligent discourse. I am not sure that rlslog is anything like most sites - although I have no recent research on the matter. If we checked Alexa, I would be willing to bet that RLSLOG is one of the front-runners in its “scene-news-reporting” niche. Therefore, it is not like most of the sites u have visited in the past.

    When I click on the optimize performance module kaspersky pops up with the message that it may be a invader type process, if it’s nothing to be worried about and its a false alarm than should i add it to the trusted zone… ur help is appreciated.
