Crap Cleaner doesn’t monitor registry changes or files installed, nor changes to these over time. This is why it can’t be 100% effective as an uninstaller. Still, a good free application nonetheless.

Your Uninstaller does NOT do what Ashampoo Uninstaller or Total Uninstall do, according to the info on Your Uninstaller’s website.

Your Uninstaller will never be able to remove as much as the other two because it is only an uninstall routine with a database that does not take into account the unique and/or total changes made on every person’s harddrive during and after an app is installed.

Your Uninstaller is not a similar app or a replacement for the other two if you want to more completely and automatically want to remove an app.

I have used Ashampoo Uninstaller for years and it did a good job but not perfect. It would leave entries in the Registry and files and folders on the harddrive.

Then I installed Total Uninstall 4.x and it did a more thorough job than Ashampoo, so it is my installer/uninstaller application. It also did a better job of monitoring changes to an installed app AFTER installation (have to have the Total Uninstall Agent load at boot). It also handled installed application updates better. I think it also gave more data on files prior to their being deleted during an uninstall so that I could make a more informed decision on whether to keep it or delete it.

Have not tried the new version 3.x of Ashampoo Uninstaller. Maybe it will be as good or better than Total Uninstall.

I am always amazed by the amount of IDIOTS there are everywhere you look!

Now about the program…may be useful as long as there are no TSR’s running. I’ll try it and see how well it works then delete it if it’s the usual with this kind of app.
