Ashampoo Core Tuner v1.20-TE

Another good application released by TE. Almost all modern computers have at least two processors, which are generally referred to as cores. Some even have four. Unfortunately, Windows often doesn’t manage your multiple cores very well, so you’re not actually getting the full multi-processor power you paid for. This application will help you get the max out of your processor. Tweak it, overclock it and make your system faster and stable with a simple click. It supports Windows 7. Read Nfo for installation instructions.

Description:
Ashampoo Core Tuner enables you to use the full power of all your cores. For instant results you just need to select Auto-Optimize to optimize all the programs you are running or Boost to give more power to a single program. You can also fine-tune individual processes, display a live view of the current workloads of all your processor cores and enhance the overall performance of your system with additional tools.

Features:

  • One-click Auto-Optimize
  • One-click boost
  • Additional performance-enhancing tools
  • Fine-tuning for users who want more

Does this really work? I mean does it really use all the cores in those applications that they where meant for one core only?

    Thanks.

Clevercache are the only two to bother with – nice app.

Absolutely useless. Windows actually manages your processors core very well. If you don't believe me then time something then install the program to time it again. It's more of the applications you use that will use the cores efficiently then the operating system itself.

But I'm running exp, and I think Windows is feeding my applications too little memory and processing. Team Fortress 2 only uses 350 megabytes of RAM, with about 3% CPU. That's low for a game.

Must remember to keep up with latest software releases, been waiting for a version of this that works with 64bit os and finally they release one, as for the comment about this software being useless i disagree, there have been several times i have needed software to launch with high priority automatically enabled eg. emulators that need more processing power or converting movies files to different formats eg wmv to divx etc and this software allows me to do that with ease by applying the settings automattically.

Can someone make a definitive test of this software and tell us how well it works “out of the box” for non-techies? What kind of speed improvement can we expect? Thanks.
