Ashampoo Burning Studio v7.10-TE

TE released today new version of this nice burning application. It’s an great alternative to Nero, give it a try!

Since its initial release, Ashampoo Burning Studio has changed the way CD/DVD/Blu-ray burning software works. Instead of spending frustrating hours learning how to use hundreds of complicated functions you just select a task – for example “Burn Files”, “Backup Files” or “Burn Movies” – and then the program guides you through all the necessary steps.

You just choose your format, select your files and burn your disc. It really is that easy, but easy doesn’t mean you get less functionality: Advanced burning functions are also available for experienced users who want to choose specific file systems or use special boot images.

Something has to be done about the spam and off topic comments on this forum. I couldn’t give a toss whether a is better than b. Im only interested in the merits of this app.

Something has to be done about the spam and off topic stuff on these threads. I would like to know how this prog is working for people. If you have a better alternative to the software, rather than posting links, explain why it is better.Same applies to movies. axxo does this, axxo does that. Lets allow proper reviews on here, instead of all the guff we are getting.

Convertxtodvd is what i always use for divx/xvid encoded movies, I burn them to a dvd5.

For copying DVDs I use dvdfab platinum, I burn to dvd5 or dvd9.

For KVCD I just use Nero Burning Rom.

Burning music to CDs….wtf is that? MP3 players are all you need these days, much more efficient.

I’m positive that this is better than nero for burning data but does anyone know if its a resource hog and if not does it run fast?

OK I’ve been a Nero fan up untill 7 – I got sick of the bloat and constant updates and fart-assing around so I gave Ashampoo a whirl – it loads quick, does the job, and is easy to use. My only gripe is that you have to make sure to click the options button just before you burn so you can make sure the settings (eg finalise, burn DAO) is correct.. no major biggie but you’ll see what I mean.

Nero is no longer on my system and Ashampoo is the burner of choice for me. :)

This is better than Nero. Burns disks perfectly, easy install, clean interface, loads fast and no suspicious processes/system tray icons.
It does easily DVD menus out of multiple video files.

    @ELCouz

How is burning a movie to a DVD to watch in a dvd player any more efficient than burning one to a cd to watch in a dvd player.

    1. CDs are CHEAPER than DVDs….I watch a KVCD CAM on a CD then trash it, I’m sure many trash their CAM downloads too….more efficient to use a CHEAPER CD ;-)

    2. Many KVCD encoders like “TUS” use filters to touch up the quality of CAMS…the xvids are still the original dark blotchy lookin shit the scene puts out…..little more efficient to download the one that has been ran through filters than to do it yourself ;-)

One last thing. I donate all the money i save on burning movies to a CD instead of a DVD….I’m not cheap, i’ve got a good paying career, im just efficient minded, unlike you ;-)

If you downloaded the previous RLSlog post of Ashampoo and used a keygen, then you can you can use the help > check for updates option and update via that method.
