Ascension To The Throne-RELOADED
Ascension to the Throne is a game release from RELOADED, it was released a couple of days ago but it looks like a decent strategy game. From the screen-shots the visuals don’t look to sharp but it appears to have Fantasy/Medieval theme to it so this might be worth a go if your a fan of Oblivion or Dark Messiah. Plus It has got no copy protection so there should be no problem getting this game fired up!
Ascension to the Throne is a turn-based strategy game with RPG elements. In a world of fantasy the hero will have to pass many tests on his way to victory. Enemies seek to stop players from regaining power and having taking revenge, gain new friends to aid you in reclaiming the throne. Become the King you were born to be - wise, brave and courageous.

Players will act as the last offspring of the ancient family, which has ruled Airath for ages. But times have changed and traitorous enemies attacked the castle. They slaughtered his family and destroyed the settlement, but they didn’t crush his will. A very powerful spell cast by a magician threw the hero far beyond the borders of the country. He was on his own - without relatives, friends, without an army and without money. He lost everything he was proud of but still he was alive and chose the path of vengeance.
Players will explore a new fascinating world, full of foes and friends. They will have to crush hordes of enemies and find new followers to regain the title and ascend to the throne.

Game Features:
- Combination of real-time movement around the game world and turn-based battles
- Large-scale tactical battles. Up to 20 squads (up to 10 units in each)
- Players are not bounded by separate missions. They can go to any part of the game world and explore it. The game world is integral and players are free to choose any direction
- Original concept. The Hero is the player, and instead of giving orders and watching the battles from a safe place, he participates in them by himself. But remember, that you can easily loose your Hero in the heat of a battle

Minimum System Requirements:
- Microsoft Windows XP SP2
- Pentium IV 2.4GHz or higher
- 512MBRAM
- GeForce 6600 or higher graphic card with 128 MB RAM

anyone know if it will run on a gf 6200?
Lol at turnbased strategy, never liked em.
Interesting concept, downloading
The game is terrible. Simply terrible.
It has crap written all over it, lol. I’m extremely wary. Checking to see if there are any reviews.
Spelling is bad as it’s a rushed Russian translation and not a dedicated western conversion. Graphics are very good for a turn based game, in fact they are probably similar to Heroes of Might Magic V crossed with a a cut down Neverwinter Nights 2.
It’s a mix of real time movement and RPGing through the world and turn based HOMM5 or Disciples style combat.
For all the numpty’s that only like a game if it has ‘Counterstrike’ ‘Battlefield’ etc in the title or is made by one of the big companies, regardless if it’s crap, then I feel sorry for you. You’re missing out on a lot by not giving turn based games a go.
Even with the crap spelling and no English voiceovers, I really enjoy this game. I don’t have the reflexes in my old age (31) to engage in real time RPG combat with many characters and prefer the slower more precise control that turn based combat gives.
Solid little game indeed!
What’s wrong with turn-based strategy?
Some of the best games are turn-based strategy games…
Enjoyed this game tremendously!
Its a fun game… In the begining. Then it becomes apparant that melee damage from you is pointless and a waste of skill points as magic does alot more.
Also you end up with so much hp half way through the game that it becomes nearly impossible for anything to kill you. So the only thing you have to fear is the annoyance of running back to get fresh units… untill you get that revive spell. As a result the final battle is a joke, I polished off the main demon lord without taking a single loss after revives.
The game could have used some more quests, options and open endedness. It would have been nice to have more than 4 equipment slots. The main battle suits were also far too simple to obtain past the first 2-3.
All that said the first continent was alot of fun to fight on asside from that buggy epic pyramid quest. The ninja armor you get on the 3rd continent is very fun also.
If you play make sure to save often as the game freezes from time to time and it is possible to warp onto parts of the map you cant get back out of.
This game was fun, til i got to one point killing some demonlord thingy and the game crashes. Can’t get past that point. Was only playing it til 2 worlds finished downloading anyway
No widescreen
I really like this game but it continues to crash all the time.Is there a way to stop this as it happens all the time.
No mouselook, have to keep holding your WASD WITH your right palm on the mouse … Mapping system is a disaster … In game tweaks are so limited that you can hardly tweak anything. Not recommended if one is into gameplay. There is only suffering here.
this game was terrible, everything in it is static.
- based on the idea of turn based .. there is only 1 turn involved and thats you running around triggering battles or quests.
- enemy/friendly lords dont grow or build.
- the concept would be good if the skirmish groups moved about or grew in numbers; but they don’t.
- numerous bugs/crashes.
- units dont grow or become vetrans, they remain the same throughout.
- the environment has nothing to interact with other than the occasional chest/xp temple or quest item.
in passing; if you like turn based games .. Civilization IV is brilliant .. but a favourite is probably Disciples II
this game .. nothing moves in it
Does this game have cheets or trainers??? Ive looked everywear , looks like this game does not have cheets or trainers

I am having the same problem. After the battle with the demon, I go through 3 lines of dialogue, then it kicks out to the desktop. It does it with this version and the JPN ripped version. I also tested on another computer and it did it there too (I copied the savegames over).
The only thing I can think is that my char has some item that makes it crash, or that there is some copy protection that kicks in at that point.
Got tremendous enjoyment from this game - a couple of crashes but nothing major. Will definitely play thru again.
There is at least one English walkthrough that has a number of helpful hints.
I really enjoyed this game!! I say it in surprise cause was on a w8 and see aproach, but it was far better than i expected, not like a lot of crappy games around nowadays, really well made, and as far as strategy games go the graphics are very good
This game surprised me; I didn’t expect playing it like a turn based strategy game, more than like a graphic adventure. It is a mixture of both. I played it like an adventure running the ground, and like a turn strategy game recruiting troops and for the combats. That is a new game-concept.
The combat is the best of the game, any unit occupies a single hexagon, and it shows all of them over the battlefield in their exact quantity.
The graphics are the beast, more like than an RPG game style, with high quality textures of detailed armors and beautiful naked women (without any nude patches), I was really astonished.
For the stability, this site have oldest screens probably of a beta version. I have the European released version and it is absolutely stable. It loads instantly and never crashes.
*READ THIS FOR INFO TO FIX CRASH*
First of all this game is not a new concept. This concept has been around since the Sega Genesis, in King’s Bounty in 1991 (from Jon Caneghem that would later make Heroes of Might and Magic series).
That being said if you want to fix the random crashes. This only works on random crashes I got with a runtime error, where once it crashed it never lets you launch the game again unless you re-installed. I’m running it on a Vista 64-bit system.
1) patch your game to the latest version
2) In the game options menu disable Object and Unit Shadows.
3) If that doesnt work then disable reflections and grass too.
You’l get a game that’s uglier, but at least it won’t crash on you.
I like RPGs (Bauldrs Gate El,Elder Scrolls and love Turn Based Strats ( Total War and the like.)
This game is a sad attempt that feels 1/2 finished. The world, though pretty at times, is lifeless. It gets boring very quickly running through a world where NPCs just stand there - the important ones differentiated by exclamation marks over their heads.
The lack of mouse look really grates.
The combat system is poor - for me largely because the damage is fixed. - no random variances.
if you are thinking of buying or downloading the game - just don’t life is to short.
