As It Happened Man On The Moon 40th Anniversary Special WS DSR XviD READNFO-WaLMaRT

I love to watch docos like this and WaLMaRT released this nice little special about an hour ago which includes a lot of the actual footage that was shot from the moon landing in 1969.

Update: Scene group EPiSODE also released another moon landing doco so i thought i would just add it to this post. Apollo.11.First.Steps.On.The.Moon.2002.PDTV.XviD-EPiSODE

Notes from NFO: This was cropped best we can, this is footage from 1969 and as u see the reals move back and forth .. so making black bars apear, watch em close they move around, and if we would croped em out the spots that arent like that woulda been way overcropped. there is nothing wrong with this release other then its 40yr old video tapes they used to do this special with . this is good show for ALL to see and enjoy the 1st step on the moon.

Forty years ago, the mission was to land on the moon was launched on July 16, 1969 and carried Mission Commander Neil Alden Armstrong, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin Eugene ‘Buzz’ Aldrin, Jr. American astronaut Neil Armstrong realised the oldest dream of human civilisations when he became the first man to walk on the moon. As an estimated 500 million people crowded around fuzzy television screens and radios, Armstrong stepped down the lunar module’s ladder and onto the lunar surface. “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind,” Armstrong intoned, his words slightly distorted by distance and communications equipment, in a phrase now etched forever into the history books.

    About an hour docu and only 175MB? Are you kidding me?

    If you want to see the original material from the landing on the moon in superb quality make you a favour and download this:

    In.The.Shadow.Of.The.Moon.2007.720p.HDDVD.x264-SiNNERS

    This is worth it.

    indeed NaVito Shadow Of The Moon is a excellent movie, a must see, But really the BBC one is as good and covers the shuttle disasters in detail, its quiet hard to watch knowing what going to happen. Also Dog in space is was another new one out recently that I enjoyed.

    @dot
    Yeah, definitively check it out, it's worth it! And they used the NASA original images but remastered in HD only for this docu. Oh and they interview all the astronauts that keep alive.

    @Aaron
    Well, I'm gonna check it out too. Seems a good documental. By the way, on this blog was posted another good documental on this subject: James May on the Moon.

    I agree with #6 and #14, In The Shadow of the Moon is way better. Also this one has great 16mm footage and if you hunt around you'll find a BDrip of it also:

    @ #8 I think the recent LRO images have put the nay sayers to rest finally :) And with the 2x and 3x resolution images due soon from the LRO we should be able to see the landing sites in reasonable detail.

    Occam's razor …
    The question we have to ask is; If the Americans COULD fake the moon landings, would they?

    My vote is yes.

    The Russia, India and China must all be in on the conspiracy then, because they all have sent probes to Luna. And any one of those nations could have debunked any conspiracy theories :)

    40 years of exponential advances in technology, and to this day we still can't land or even launch a space shuttle when it's cloudy or raining. We never went. Case closed, LEMMINGS!

    dudius, NASA, doguy.

    I presume you have watched the fox documentaries that claim the moon landings were faked. I also presume none of you are scientists, or have a background in physics, so i direct you to a good site by an astrophysicist who discusses the matter:
    http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.html

    Another note, Occam's razor, for the fake to be believable by scientists and foreign observers, it would have to be extraordinarily sophisticated, complicated and expensive. It would be simpler just to have a moon mission… no?
