ArzooSoft USB Threat Defender v1.0-DJiNN

Here’s a new USB AntiVir that claims to be unparalleled in protection. Having several USB storage devices myself, and for it’s tiny 1MB size, I thought maybe a few here would enjoy this release. Cheers!

Description: Most people believe that a good Anti-Virus gives them 100% protection, but unfortunately it is not so, the best of the Anti-Virus does not even provide 90% protection, especially against USB threats.

USB drives are common today, they are used as pen drives, flash disks, ipods, memory cards etc. These USB storage disks are often infected with malwares which have a large variety, and are undetected by the Anti-Virus. When plugged into a system they infect the host system. These malwares damage the system, they destroy important files, cripple the system and much more.

dont think its pointless or useless. ive been affected by virus/malware a couple of times now, and its been a flash drive everytime. AVG, Nod, Kasper didnt pick up anything upon scanning of the drives. they were fully updated and i always scan first before opening flash drives. lets see if this thing works..

Probably handy if you run poor anti virus software… personally, using Anti-Vir I've never had any malware infect my system, ever!

Like it is very difficult to open the drive and delete the virus. and in vista and 7 we don't have to turn off autoRun also.

    What a crap

I first installed it when Kaspersky failed to detect some infections and those viruses got installed, I thought it was crap, but it detected running infections – olherwef.xx and netstat1.exe which kaspersky didnt detect. It successfully cleaned them and restored my systems settings.
It has its own unique database and scan technology, so it is not an autorun.inf remover.

Been using this for a week, I think it works well. I always scan my USB devices, looks like a peice of gem for me.
    I am keeping it.

    Thanks

I completely agree, this software looks interesting.

    @ previous posts
Autorun.inf removers will remove the autorun.ing file and the file associated with it, not all infections.
Disabling autorun will not delete the virus, at some point of time when you access the USb u will encounter the infection and who knows you could get infected.

I have tried numerous Anti-Viruses and trust me, they often fail on these Autorun and USB viruses.

Why not keep it, after all its FREE.

Turing off autorun is not going to save you from not getting infected. If you open My Computer and double click on the usb drive, bang, your infected. I'm sure that will happen one time or another.
I've got virus many times from usb drives. I've been using USB Disk Security and it does a dam good job.

    @Lapax
I have used USB Disk Security, but I think USB threat defender is much more advanced.
USB Threat Defender removes already installed virus along with Proactive and Definition scan which USB Disk Security dosent.
    Thanks for the fix.
    Works perfect.
