Guys from group RESERVED comes back with another special festival movie: Arranged tells the story of Jewish-Muslim friendship which is supported by going through the process of arranged marriage. The movie won 4 film awards although it didn’t hit the big screen and it holds a solid 8.5 points at IMDB so you shouldn’t worry about its qualities. Released on 1 CD in standard quality, subtitles are not included.

UPDATE: Arranged.2007.LIMITED.PROPER.DVDRip.XviD-EPiC (RESERVEDs release is full of blended frames. It is also overcropped. Proof included in the Sample dir.)

Two teachers starting their first year at a Brooklyn public school have more in common than meets the eye. Though both women come from very different backgrounds–Rochel is Jewish Orthodox and Nasira is Muslim–they are each going through arranged marriages. This character-driven film surveys their developing friendship.

    Just a note: don’t talk about arranged marriages unless you have learned about them. Some of them are not that bad, since people CAN work out in the relationship. Obviously, it is not preferred by Western society because the belief in “love” and freedom is more prevalent in the culture. I am not for arranged marriages, but some people are totally fine with it. If it’s their choice, then I’m not going to say something against it.

    Most ‘arranged’ marriages of today are simply marriages in which the *family* (Mothers/Fathers) of the bride & groom have to agree on. Its not like a female or male has been chosen or *arranged* at birth, that is more fairytale than reality and is quite rare.

    Secondly this movie said a Muslim and a Jew. Not an Arab and a Jew. Since everyone equated Muslim to Arab, a few definitions are in order :D .

    Jew means one of either:
    A)Racially/Ethnically Jewish
    B)A practitioner of Judaism
    C)Both
    Muslim means:
    A) A practitioner of Islam.

    The majority of Muslims today are from West/Central Asia. The Arabs are a pretty small minority in terms of Muslims. Also, Nasira is not an Arabic name, it may be Iranian or Pakistani (Pashto?), just a guess.

    One more:
    Zionist = *Any* one person who supports/agrees/sanctions the state of Israel (Note: Being Jewish is irrelevant).

    Anyways looks like an interesting movie.

    My wife and I enjoyed another fine rls from rlslog! 1st of all the download from #20 from adrive was of a great quality download. Thanks to Snake for the up. The movie is not nuked at all.

    We found this refreshing and entertaining. Finally a real movie that gives views (although somewhat one sided) about the PRACTICING Muslims and Ortho. Jews (I prefer to call them hebrews). We were first at apprehensive about this movie but we found ourselves getting “involved” and ended up liking it.

    Guys: If you are any of a romantic, you might find this very educating. I thought it was a “chick flick”, but not so much.

    If anyone has found the OST for this movie please let me know by posting. I have a habit of dl’ing OSTs of movies I like.

    Wow amazing how much of my daughter parts were cut from this movie. 1st they cut her when all the kids were entering the school. Than when they were in the class room 1st time she was only seen getting up with the bell rang. And the 2nd time they were in the class room in a circle she was the girl in the pink shirt short jeam skirt. :( We waited over a year for this film to come out only for a few sec. Bummer. They didn’t give her credits as one of the extra and she was in the movie. But my name was in the extras and they cut me out of the film when the kids were walking into the school.

    I’ve only watched 2/3 of this movie so far but to this point it’s wonderful, should be shown in schools. Reminds me of my own childhood growing up in the forties and fifties, raised catholic when my mother was uncomfortable with me playing with protestent kids. Today I shudder at the destructive influence of this kind of religious intolerence. My children and friends will definitely see this movie.
