Hello. Can anybody tell me how can I download the soundtracks of Arctic Tale? I want to download Aimee Mann-The Great Beyond but it can’t been found in limewire, and I couldn’t find any website, from that i can download for FREE. Please help me (sorry if I made some mistakes, i’m not English or American )

I have kind of a noob question. I notice that the actual resolution is 1280×528, which is not 720p. It has black bars at the top, and I want to know why, and why they refer to it as 720p. I have bought bad santa bluray version for my ps3, and my 720p widescreen sony bravia tv, and notice that it is full widescreen, no black bars at all, however, when I downloaded the “720p” version from septic awhile ago, it had those annoying black bars, and was 1280×528.

Why do rippers do that(not rip in the original 720p resolution)? Why do they call that 720p, when its clearly not? They do the same thing with dvds, not actually being 480p, but being 600something by 200 something. Someone please explain this to me, and if theres a place where I can download hd content in 720p without black bars, or if there is some type of software to edit the black bars off of the existing movies I have.

HD files (at least the 720p ones) are far better in quality than the 600-700mb files, even when they’re both in DVD format upscaled via the Sony upconverters.

this app does not reeconde the file.. just convert the mkv to vob format, keeping video and audio and plays on ps3

Once you open your file in virtualdubmod, pick direct stream copy for both audio and video (if it allows it) and save as an avi (that way you don’t have to do any recompression).

avi is not a format, but a container just like mkv. divx/xvid or x264 are the codecs.

Thanks Martin, and Jane, but I want to keep it in HD, not down scaled to DVD quality. PS3 now supports dvix, so it can play any kind of avi, but not x264. I’ve downloaded HD quality Nature programs from mininova, that’s in avi. I just wished it was ripped in an avi format.

I don’t get the need for these HD files. The regular DVDRips about 600-700mb burned to a DVD work just great to get HD quality results. Just use an upcoverting DVD Player?
I suggest the Sony DVP-NS77H ($79 if you shop around). Upconverts to 1080p. You won’t be disappointed. No need for Blu-Ray or HD-DVD……… (The Sony mention along with the older DVP-NS75H (1080i)work a lot better than other upconverters). If you’ve tried others you may not have gotten the best results….
