Apple Logic Studio 9 Install DVD-FINALCUT
After that Final Cut Studio 3 release, I bet some of OSX users who are into music & audio stuff were waiting for this release too. 
Here is it – one of the well known audio apps – Logic Studio 9. This is as you can read from title Installation Disc only, but we may assume that next additional DVDs will come too. I’ll upload all as soon as possible.

I am using AbeLStud on XPSP3. Now some of my creative partners are FLStud users. If I install that too in the same PC (while keeping AbeLStud) should I expect some incompatibilities or conflicts in future?

This release includes patches which makes Logic to install/run without no need for serials:
Instructions:
1. Mount that Logic 9 Install Disc.
2. Run "Logic Studio NoSN Installer Patch .app" and choose as patching target "Install Logic Studio.mkpg" from the disc you previously mounted.
3. Now run Logic 9 Install and install it as usual. You'll notice it wont ask you for serial number during the installation.
4. Make sure you untick additional content in installer (Additional discs)
5. After installation is complete run "Logic Pro 9 NoSN Patch.app" browse for Logic 9 app and apply the patch.
6. Apply rest of the patches on other components with patches provided.
7. After you're done with patching run Logic 9 and voila!

what the hell is up with that NFO
Since the NFO is useless can anyone tell me if I need the other three DVDs to install this because they are like 27GB in total. Also did anybody get this to work?

The patches do not run on mac osx 10.5.7….

To patch under leopard :
Download this version of iPatcher "Leopard Fix" :

Then unrar the file, several zip will show up.
Unzip "iPatcher.zip".
Now go to your "APPLE.LOGIC.STUDIO.9.INSTALL.DVD-FINALCUT" folder, open the "Patch" folder, ctrl + click on "LogicStudio_Installer Patch" -> click on "Show package content", then browse to "Contents" -> "MacOS" .
Replace the only file present in this folder "iPatcher" by the one you unzipped earlier.
You're done, patch works !
Repeat it for any patch you need, (Soundtrack, Waveburner etc..)

I have Ableton & FL studio on the same machine, never had any conflicts or problems. You can actually open Flstudio inside ableton as a vst.

Installed On a G5…. did the patcher the one that you download to overlay the NOS one so i did that installer still wasnt going through even though it said it was patched….so i put in the finalcut pro serial number it installed….then applied the other patch for the app to launch the log said it was patched….clicked on it then it asked for serial so i put it in again no luck use my xskey nothiong with that…..my intel machine is a Hack so i didnt even try that yet…Peace

Great post GENERiC, but a question for those who've got this going – I'm on Logic Studio 8, it works a treat, and I'm very happy with it. Besides Amp Designer (I use NI Guitar RIg) why should I get this rls? Should I? 7gig is a long time where I am at the moment…
It all works on 10.5.7.
as long as you copy the LogicStudio.pkg and Packages folder to the desktop, and patch the LogicStudio.pkg before installing.. and then apply the patches after.
It does all work a treat.
As for Lao Tzu – it's not too different in that respect but I'm really digging all the audio quantization stuff and the focus on all that audio editing stuff. That I think is the main difference.
For those who installed it and previously using Logic Studio 8.
I currently have Logic Studio 8. When installing this, will it remove LS 8 and replace it with LS 9? Also, can I use the installed extra contend from LS 8 (will it recognise it?)?

Thanks for quick and useful reply! Hm. I'm thinking audio quantize looks like a very cool feature, but I'm not sure I really need it – I do all my remix/beatmatching work in Ableton, Logic's my DAW for recording my own music, rather than loops and stuff, so I tend to focus on getting things grooving at the recording stage… Think I'll probably stick with 8 – it ain't broke, so why fix it?

@Ecchi: it is an upgrade but it does keep Logic Pro 8 as a seperate app, renaming it to that. Although Waveburner and the other apps will all be replaced.

You dont need a serial number if you patch the actual installer first, install, then install the general patches after.

yes, no need for serial on Intel Macs…. It works fantastic Logic, WaveBurner and Compressor.
But only in the Intel…….
The patches do not work on G5 PowerPC… perhaps with a serial number.

Ok so ive got the patch working but it wont install keeps saying need diek for content, obviously i have unticked all the extras except logic its self but it wont let me untick certain items that say "upgrade" rather than install?? any ideas???

Two questions: I'm not able to mount the .iso file. My Mac (intel iMac) keeps telling me it's not recognised (tried finder, disk utility and toast). How am I supposed to mount the disk? Is the file just broken from download (used the RS links from post 44)? I unrared the whole thing with UnRarX…
Second question: I see in the readme from the patches that there currently is no patch for Mainstage. I guess Mainstage isn't working right now?

Hey guys, downloaded this DVD twice now and I'm getting errors after i mount the .iso, not sure why – original must be corrupt or something. Really annoying, it says there is 110mb on the iso but its 7.5gb! The thing is it extracted no problem… hmmmf?
do we need the other dvd to complete this installation? or jsut the install dvd? Please help guys

You can upgrade from LS8. Content discs only replace a few files. Nothing special. Content disks are just a matter of hours I guess. Complete (50gb) package with serial has already been released on Domonoid

For an intel mac on 10.5.7, make sure you download and unrar everything, copy the logicstudio.mpkg and packages folders to your desktop, then download the patches. mount the install disk, and then run the logic_install patch. install, then run the rest of the patches. No serial needed
I need alot of help. Please someone help me. I did everything that i was supposed to do with the patch. It started to install and then asked me for disk to jam packs. so i went back didn't install any of that just and only Logic Pro right. So it installed and im happy but then i go to open logic pro and what do we have here.. Name and SN.. I almost cried because im so pissed that its not working like it should or im just not doing something right myself.. and i sure as hell don't have 500 to go buy the program but it looks like that's what im gonna have to try and do
any chance installing it on a Power Pc (Leopard) ?

Thanks for all the info here. I own the full version of Logic 8. I understand I need the additional content DVD to get some of the new stuff.. and the demo material. Are there any other DVDs I should download or is everything else on the Logic 8 DVDs? I thought I heard something about a new "Voices" jam pack. The patches work perfectly on a Macbook Pro core 2 duo.
If you can't get it working, there's something wrong with YOU.
If you've got logic 8, 9 will use all the logic 8 samples, so don't download the other dvd's. You will miss a couple of things (namely the bizarre IRs for space designer) but I'm sure it will pop up afterwards.
Great release, although if you don't need the specific audio editing extras you're fine. If you want guitar sounds get amplitube or guitar rig, they're a lot better than these.
just downloaded all 19 files and tried to open them with unarchiver. after a cuple of minutes a sign shows up and says "could not extract the file, the archived file is corrupted"

After downloading this TWICE- two different links above (over 14GB!)
After downloading the 200mb RAR files this unrar’s into .r01…r02 parts (This has been verified as correct) however when you join these parts to create an iso file after about 4GB it states that the rar file is broken (CRC errors)?

It is in contents/Plugins/AELicensingPlugin.bundle/Contents/MacOS

hi man, with lion os x, i can’t open logic and i have to upgrade it, but at the end he ask again the serial (i have this one E-330-DOX-030-NJB-265-AKZ-414-BVZ-M2E-41HX) but when i fill it in, he says that the serial is wrong! what can i do???? PLEASE HELP
